Exactly. I vote fairly on every submission I can. Most of the flash that comes on Newgrounds gets deleted...hence the low save count and high blam count.

The reason my B/P count is even more unbalanced than I think it should be is cause I used to hate running disk cleanups, and so I'd only play flashes with under 1000 kb file size. Eventually, around EG Private or EGPFC, I dropped this practice and since then have viewed and voted on all entries that I have seen under judgment in the portal.

I used to do that also very early when I started Ng, I would target the 15kb stick flashes.

well, good luck to you sir. in order for you to get more protection points than blams, you would have to vote only on the good flashes in the portal, and not blamming the bad ones. to me, that'd be a waist of points, but you have a goal in mind and you should go for it. but my protection points won't ever be the same as my blam points due to more crap comeing in than half decent flash.

In fact, I like protection points more. The blam/protect rate of NG is around 3 which means that 75% of flashes get blammed. Since protection points are much more precious compared with blam points, I prefer saving than blamming. My own b/p rate is less than 2 which means that I normally vote high on these entries which may deserve to be blammed high and help them to pass the judgement. That's why I have a light aura. In fact, I had a neutral aura until I had 1000 something exp points and my b/p rate used to be as high as 2.6. But it looks that I decided to be merciful since then, lol! I hope that my explanation benefit you. :)

Wow how miserable it was today when it came to b/ping with me only getting a 65,tomorrow i gotta go get my hair cut and pick up an ounce of herb and what not but i plan on being back early cause i know how the portal gets on fridays and weekends,but it really won't matter cause Saturday and Sunday i will be here all day and night with the NFL semifinal playoffs being on so i know i will be raking in some serious b/p points. =)

Today was another slow day for sure. However, I somehow managed to procure around 110 B/P today, which left me on schedule and allowed me to catch up a little bit. I am now 79 points ahead of schedule, which is 9 points ahead of where I was before the Portal entered this slump. If the weekend shows better days, I'll be able to skip a seventh day and shift my schedule yet again. Hopefully we all will see more Portal activity tomorrow! I must now be off to the bunks. Well, the dictioanry definition of the word club is 'A group or association of people with common interests or aims.' We certainly fulfil that and our common interest is NOT Blamming crap movies which appear on the portal. Our common interest is to protect the good flashes and save bandwidth for viewing them, rather than having it leeched away by all of the malicious groups, such as the Barney Bunch.

The Portal has seemed to have sped up for a little while. There are currently 14 UJ submissions, which might signify a speeding in the Portal. I will probably get burned for this, as the Portal seems to enjoy spiting me lately, but let's try it. The DEFCON has been changed from DEFCON 4 to DEFCON 3.

Well, that's half right, Sergeant Major. The Elite Guard Barracks is a place really where we can talk about anything we want. The Barracks is a place where we can go after a long day of Portal protection, doing what we do best. True, we all have a common goal that we are protectors of the Portal, but the real bond is that we are all Elite Guards. Hence why we talk to our superiors with the respect they deserve, address people by their rank, call your superior officers "sir," etc.

The other main aspect of the Barracks is that we can use them to enhance our relations and forumlate strategy for when we go on the Portal. Our Portal Operations have advanced greatly since the Barracks was made...advanced enough that they must be kept classified and kept in our forums.

Our main topics of conversation generally gravitate towards Portal Ops, Relations, and daily Portal experiences, but that is not what this club is ALL about. Remember that the main goal of our Barracks is simply for the Elite Guard members to converse with one another and enjoy the company of their fellow soldiers after a long day of battling on the Portal. Well, technically, the way it seems to be so easy going, it could be called the Naafi, even though it doesn't have the same ring as the Barracks.

I meant that I thought it was apparent that the Barracks isn't a blam club. My first posts and my response to Ramagi reflect that. My goal was for the Barracks to never turn into a blam club or some place that just focuses on killing certain things on the Portal. Indeed, we have a different goal that is only for fellow Elite Guards to congregate and chat, yet still show due respect.

Anything else is just a side note to the Barracks and its main goal.

That's not what I meant. I meant what I wrote above. I knew about Ramagi's post all along, as I was the one that responded to her when she was questioning the club's point. Ramagi's post was on the first page if you are interested in viewing it.
