agent smith, im really sorry to see you leave. your right about NG going downhill. i mean, even from when ive been a user it seems that people would rather spend time spamming and being ass holes than really trying to make the place fun for all. i know ive always been more mature than that, and have always found many actions to be completely stupid and pointless, but its places like the barracks that encourage me to come back. its nice to talk intelligently with people here about anything (virginia beach has a surprising amount of retards, and im a special olympics volunteer). i hope that maybe you can come back every so often to keep in touch with some of the brighter people this site has to offer. but whatever you choose, i wish you luck.

On another note, I advise all Barracks members to adjust their profile settings so they won't be made into portal buddies against their will. Good security idea, particularly for those who don't intend to make flash (or at least anytime soon) and can just set it to deny all buddy requests.

1) How to make a signature:
At the top of the screen, click "Account Options". Then go to "Forum Signature" and put whatever ya want.
2) EGB Membership:
Only members of the Elite Guard can join. What that means (since you seem new to the site) is you must be of a B/P Rank of Elite Guard Private or higher.
You get points by voting on submissions currently Under Judgement in the Flash Portal. Under Judgement flashes are the ones at the top, highlighted in gray.
Watch the flash, and decide what you feel it should get, and vote. If you vote a 0 or a 1, and the flash goes on to be blammed (deleted), you get a Blam point. If you vote 2-5, and it goes on to be protected, you get a Protect point.
From the FAQ:
Movies are (currently) deleted if they fall below the listed score at the listed number of votes:
100 votes - 1.0
150 votes - 1.25
200 votes - 1.60
As you can see from the Badge/Rank list, you need to have a combined Blam/Protect point total of 1500+ to be of Elite Guatd rank.
But once you reach the rank of Security Guard, you can join the NGPD (link in my signature), and work there until you reach Elite Guard Private.
It takes a lot of work, and a lot of time, but if you think you're up for it, get to the portal and start earning some B/P points! If you have any other questions, ask me.

Well, after a week and a half of moving in, Cablevision finally decided to bring over the Internets to my new apartment. That being said, I can surf the Intarweb again. Sorry I was gone, but I couldn't really get the Internet over that time, despite my wardriving attempts. Apparently every single wireless Internet user is smart and has either MAC filtered their router of put WEP or WPA encryption on it. Boo.
Anyway, glad to see Slash back, finally! I see he's still holding himself to insane standards (80 points...pitiful...LOL.). Unfortunately, I'm working full-time now, so I can't be a 100 B/Per anymore, and will be lucky to get half of that on weekdays. I'll still manage to scrape up to EGSC, though. :-)
