Yep, that's where I got the idea from. But I changed the lyrics around to make more of a Newgrounds style song. So, what are your thoughts? I would like to know.

Actions speak louder than words, Ghost_Phantom, EagleRock, and others would not like you to post here anymore, it's not that difficult to understand. If not, then some of us here can consider your postings spam. I'm not taking anymore time out of my day just to remind you.
As for the Podcast Ghost_Phantom, I assume that it's already up on the website? If it is, I'm not able to reach the site just yet.

The edit has hardly yet begun but out of the 2 hours we did, 20 minutes will be good to air.

Good job on the list JoKeR and thanks for updating it ~_^.
Ha I also like the songs -MetalDart-, pretty catchy, now all we need to do is record them and put on a bit of music hehe.
Last week I got over 100 b/p points daily so I am happy about that, hopefully I will be able to keep and imrpove this pace as summer passes by =P.
I looked on the list and the only people I noticed somewhat close to me that are making a pace closer/better than mine are Ghost, Eagle, and CrazedChaos. So there are only really 3 people near me I will have to watch out for hehe.
another good one, metaldart. i cant pin down the song though (havent tried yet). but it reads well. i wish you could adapt this to music and put it in the audio portal. maybe you could do the singing, unless of course you cant sing well.
but i do like it. nice stuff.
Evening all, just thought I'd pop in and show my face.
I've been slacking a bit this week in part due to exams, and also due to a bit of sunshine (a rare event here in the UK, and one well worth celebrating, or at least making the most of anyway). I'd also like to say that this is the beginning of a trend that will continue for some months now, as my university days come to a close and I am once more unleashed upon the 'real world'. While many of you will no doubt enjoy the extra submissions the Summer brings, I will be elsewhere enjoying the sunshine, and delights of the world cup (come on you England!). I will of course do my best to B/P as often as possible, but I'll be severely limited, and my already small number of posts will diminish further.
On an entirely unrelated note, I'm quite enjoying your little songs Metaldart, most inspiring!
Happy hunting all!
and happy 300th post me!

So far both the songs have good Metaldart but I must admit I preferred the first one mostly because I'm a fan of The Rolling Stones but you should keep it up. I don't know if there is one but the barracks need a theme song.

Thanks to all the reviews so far! I know I should try submitting them to the audio portal, but I have nothing to record the songs with. I did like the first one MUCH better because it made a lot more sense, and I like the Rolling Stones as well.
Funny story behind the stories, I was trying to think of an excuse to not study, and my creative side came out. I'll try to make more later!

Honestly, though, your actions were ones that really got us almost locked. Surely you can understand our anger. If you are really serious about returning, I suggest that you take a week or so away from the Barracks. Show us that you're serious about posting properly and then come back. Otherwise, if that's too much to ask, then maybe the Barracks isn't for you. I don't care what you choose to do either way, just please make sure it's one or the other.

Like I said, just take time away from us and show us that you're serious. I'm always up for giving another chance to someone, but you do have to earn it.

I haven't had time to start the editing. Like Phantom has said in a later post, I have to sift through the hour of recording I have and get around 20-30 minutes of good discussion (good meaning no feedback, good transmission, etc). All of the discussion we had was great, but I have to get stuff that won't sound like total crap and put it in the final product. I'll post updates later on.

Went to see X-Men 3: The Last Stand tonight. I have to say that it was a very good movie. If you haven't seen it and are a fan of Marvel and/or the X-Men, it's worth checking out.

i havent seen it yet, but im not entirely sure if i am going to in the theaters. i might check it out on hbo in like a year when they have it :P
but many of my friends (who actually know a lot about x men) said that it was not worth it because so many of the great characters were cut out or had shortened roles.
might not stop me from seeing it, but id definitely rather wait it out for free than go spend money if its not that great.

I have seen the Da Vinci code movie. And personally, after reading the book, I didn't even find it interesting.

X-Men 3 is a great movie. If you haven't seen it and are going to see it be sure to stay until after the movie credits end.

not to be disrespectful sir, but werent we talking about the new x men movie? in any case, i just saw the da vinci code last night. it wasnt a bad movie in my opinion, but the discrepancies between it and the book sucked. wayyyy too much attention to the action and not nearly enough about the whole thought process. hell they even changed the code to opening the keystone. i loved the book but the movie was a bit disappointing.

Honestly, I did find it interesting, and I did see the book.

Does it really matter? I mean, if we're taking about current movies in general, the spillover is more than welcomed, especially to a respected officer of the Barracks. But I digress.
in any case, i just saw the da vinci code last night. it wasnt a bad movie in my opinion, but the discrepancies between it and the book sucked. wayyyy too much attention to the action and not nearly enough about the whole thought process.
The thing that you must consider is that the movie is a much different medium than the book. In a book, you can truly enjoy the minute details of the situation, while a movie does not have such luxury. if we were going to get every intricate detail of the book into the movie, the film would have been many hours long. Also, while the details are interesting to the bookreaders, a moviegoer does not care so much about the underlying theme as much as the up-front action. While the back theme is obviously vital to the movie, the action is just as vital when talking about the movie. This is why there is a book to read. ;-)
hell they even changed the code to opening the keystone. i loved the book but the movie was a bit disappointing.
Well, first off, they didn't change the keystone code. If you read the book, you find that there are actually two cryptexes, not just one. There was a larger, outer cryptex that was solved pretty much solely by Teabing and his knowledge of the Hebrew alphabet on his airplane on the way to London. The outer cryptex had the password SOFIA, which was a greek way of spelling Sophie Neveu's name. When opened, the second cryptex that was about the size of the one seen in the movie was the second cryptex to be opened. This was the one solved by Robert Langdon with the password APPLE, which was in reference to Sir Issac Newton's "missing orb." All they did was skip the first cryptex and head right to the second.
I actually caught onto this right from the start when they opened the box from the Swiss Bank, as I thought that the cryptex was definately too small to hold an inner cryptex. However, such creative license is sometimes necessary to make a movie more suitable for the theater. While us booklovers can cherish these minute details, they are not necessary to make an enjoyable film, which I thought the Da Vinci Code was.
Of course, enjoying a film after reading the book really requires an allowance of such creative licenses, which I just happen to be able to stomach. Others generally do not do so, which explains why I like the movie while most don't.

Ah crap. I wish I'd of known that bit of information before hand (lol), because I left when the credits started rolling.
There is only one major thing that I am disappointed about in the whole X-Men series. Out of all the X-Men from the comics and cartoons, they didn't have my second favorite character next to Wolverine, the Ragin' Cajun and his exploding deck of playing cards, Gambit.

O thought the same thing but word is there's a Wolverine spin-off and a Magneto spin-off in the works. ANd about the secene after the credits let's just say this.. Professor X isn't dead.
All I'm saying is that while the movie may be decent on its own, it would never compliment the book, something I feel it should have. So much was cut out that I simply lost interest. But I can only vouch my own taste. As for the X-man movie, I'll let you know when I see it, things such as movies get here much later so that's just plain annoying.

I thought the movie was alright, although I havn't seen the first two movies yet. I went to see it on Thursday so I had something else to do during my week off.
