Second: I choose the PICO anthem. I loved that song, and well done.

Yeah, the NG Museum is pretty good and might win a lower prize. I think it will be a toss up between -JAZZA-'s Pico Day Anthem and Luis' Pico vs. Convict. Also I wouldn't rule out TMST/Neil Cicierega's Fiberglass Monkey.

I'd have to say the Pico Day anthem is the best I have seen, although there have been so many quality submissions that it is a very difficult choice. The NG Museum is great, but I found it very difficult, I guess through lack of knowledge of NG, although it may just be that the questions were TOUGH! Regardless, all that blue in the 50 most recent has been a very pleasant sight!

I was going to try and last until the end of the day, as I didn't get going until 7PM British standard time, or 2PM NG time, and therefore missed much of the early part of the day. However the portal seems to have slowed significantly since then, so I'm going to call it a night now, at a very healthy 120 points for the day. Tomorrow is a bank holiday here in the UK, so expect another good one, although I am out in the evening which may slow down my progress.

-Luis-'s pico vs convict was excellent. that would probably have my vote for today's winner. i liked afro ninja's earlier submission with the emo pico too. but i checked out -Luis-'s site not too long ago and he had another movie featuring pico and the crew but it hasnt been submitted. maybe its old and i missed it or not intended for today. either way there have been tons of good submissions. too bad it seems the portal is waning now though.

well, it looks like im turning in here for the night. twas a great pico day with many a b/p point for all. i recorded 185 so far with 22 i think still under judgment in the portal. could be the day i break 200 for the first time. i hope that everyone else has had the successes i have today (looks like slash sure did) and that some people reached nice milestones. good luck to everyone for the remainder of their time on NG today.

Well, I'm finally an internet adult. I kicked away the AOL crutches and switched to Netscape. It's faster, there's more access numbers, and less ads. I'm still working on the script for when I call AOL to cancel my membership...I can't wait to verbally smite those fuckers.

Incedently, since making the switch, I've encountered a new issue. The voting panel doesn't want to load after I view a UJ submission. So B/P (which hasn't been a huge priority for me anyway) is going on the back burner till I get this worked out. If anyone else has dealt with this, I'd appreciate input. As it stands, I'll try some other browsers and see what's up.

Lastly, if you haven't read this story yet, Croc Vs. Chainsaw, give it a look...pretty damned cool IMHO. I want pics/video!

I haven't had that. Is it only UJ flash? Maybe it just takes longer to load, or maybe something is blocking the vote bar.

Try all the web browsers: Internet explorer, Firefox, Opera. Then see which one works best for you.

Weird, things seem to be working fine now. The netscape software updated itself, and I've restarted several times, so I guess the problem worked itself out. I was kind of pressed for time yesterday, so after 3 UJ subs that I had to fight tooth and nail to get the vote bar activated I pretty much gave up for the night. I eventually got to vote on those, but I had to reload and re-view 3 or 4 times a piece. Passed portal entries didn't give me any trouble at all, so I went that route for depositing.

Thanks for the tips, hopefully the problem won't crop up again. If it does, it's probably just a sign my computer is dying.
