I have no clue why, but I couldn't access Newgrounds for nearly 24 hours. From 1800 Hours Saturday to 1730 Hours Sunday, I was getting the old "Cannot Find Server" screen from Newgrounds.com.

Yeah, go here That was a total pain. I couldn't figure out what was going on. 15 hours all together it was down, not fun. Not like there was much to be missed though, no one else could get in so what could have possibly be going on?

This means there will be more of an influx over the next few day to make up for the lack of input to the portal on sunday (the first time we would have registered DEFCON 5, I believe.)

DEFCON is only needed when NG is active, if the whole of NG was there was no need for any alert what so ever as opposed to DEFCON 5 that requires minimal but yet some supervision.
And it's not the first time it's been used.

Well, I appear to have been misunderstood here, but the point I was trying to make was that with all the flashes we missed submission on Sunday, we have potential submissions fro there making the leap inot today, and tomorrow's submisions.

KungFuCow have you check out the reviews for your flash? there are some abusive one in it I am flagging them now I think you should help get rid of them as well

Hiigh activity in the portal shouldn't be surprising newgrounds was down yesterday and today so that's probably the reason why there's so many movies. besides, its not like its a bad thing.

It really isn't too surprising. Like you said, with the downtime and all. People are trying to play a game of catchup for all their lost time. Most of what is going into the portal isn't too great though, so it is not like NG missed out on much. Btw, I thought I recognized you when I saw you in the PPM, it just took until now to realize from where. I am a little slow at times. Happy hunting.

Eh... more blam points for me. You know I love those. This guy submitted them both probably by using to windows of the submission page ready to get them on after another meaning he knew what would happen meaning he deserves the portal ban to follow.

Just dropping in to say that I will be inactive for this week, as I am overloaded with university work etc. I'll be on mainly to deposit my experience everyday, but little else.

Anything big pops up either here or in NGPD, just e-mail me or something.

im not sure about that one. i know its not entirely bad, but i still didnt find it that great. its still just your run of the mill drew pickles is gay flash that has the possibility of being swapped because its the barney bunch and it might actually pass. i blammed it with a 1, but it might get through.

My apologies again for my long absence, but it's been a hell of a weekend. Between Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and my Linux server, I've had virtually no time. Luckily, I'm in class right now, which gives me plenty of time. :-)

DEFCON Update:

DEFCON 3. It was very strong earlier, but we're at a normal Portal state now. I will try to update later for other information regarding the matter.

I apologize again for my absence, so I am going to start fresh. I did read the posts preceeding my post here, but none of them really applied to me, so I wll not respond. The only thing I really can think of responding to is PalTalk. I highly recommend joining, as it is a lot of fun. Other than that, I'll be around for a few hours.

Oh yeah, here's a tip to you all: Do NOT...I repeat...DO NOT try to update a Linux install 30 minutes before your class starts!

Damn, I voted to protect that. I felt that the synching with the music was really top class, and although the message being conveyed was somewhat dubious, it was

As to it being a potential file swap, that is highly unlikely. It is far more common for a better (usually stolen) entry to be submitted and then swapped, rather than a poor submission. It is pretty futile to submit something that is going to get blammed and then swap it.

All in all, a real shame that a genuine Barney Bunch submission bit the dust! (they are a rare thing!)

Well...if you think that a submission may be a fileswap, do not vote, especially if it is very likely to pass. Nobody here would like to assist a fileswap to pass the judgement. If you do not vote, all you can lose is a singler protection point if it is not a filwswap. In addition, sometimes, authors are not careful enough and they mark the wrong ages of group who will be appropriate to watch the entry. But it is not whistle worthy if the moive does not violate any rule. On the other hand, even if the authors marked the appropriate ages of group, if you think that the submission has exceeded the limit most people can stand, see grossly nudity, you can still whistle. Hopefully, my post helps you.

I was unable to view the movie so I assume you already blew the whistle. Please remember if it was a resubmission let it ride on the blam on if it was rated wrong make sure it was for a pretty good reason but if it was offensive to you then describe to us what you found offensive that would ot be inappropriate for NG.
