Hey all, figured I should let you know that I'll be coming back to active EGB duty tomorrow (16th July). As much as I love doing this, it's been good to have a bit of a refresher, and hopefully it'll allow me to go back into things with a fresh mind. Thanks tox, I appreciate the advice and have already started to take it on board. Previously, I'd do my daily judging pretty much as soon as I woke up, but now I'm gonna do it later on in the day when I'm feeling more awake.
As for the burnout, I have issues that sometimes make it hard for me to concentrate on certain things, and as I started to develop a rigid rating system in my head it sometimes made it very hard to rate certain submissions. I'm trying to rate more "freely" now, i.e. going more on how I feel about that animation in that particular moment rather than trying to use a strict system. I took the break in order to let go of my previous system and start fresh.
Thanks for the concern, but sometimes the best thing for me is just to push on forward. I'll let the Barracks know if it ever gets too much.
