Are you a detective in real life and you have not shared that info with us?
The user was already on the naughty list for some uploads they did previously so it was only natural that I suspect them.
As for tracing the source, it's just a lot of Google and trial/error.

Realistically, you just described exactly the task that police are tasked with that concerned themselves with cyber crime
Something to consider with your continuing and reoccurring show of skill in finding and documenting violations on newgrounds it looks and seems like you would excel in a cyber crimes division
