it is best to be able to fill out the fields that are required, in this case it is at a glance a pretty open and shut case of a spam video submission, but for instances where you are reporting a rather gray area of a video or a submission when it is best to fill out the description as best as you can

adding links, citing rules, and describing how and where you were able to find the original source is always preferred.

Welcome back! It's been a long time, but as always, the standing rule at the Barracks is that any previous member who left in good terms is usually granted immediate reactivation, unless there are mitigating circumstances that make them ineligible.


In your case, you've spent 10 years serving in the Navy, and that is quite honorable. You've also endured a nightmare tragedy that we couldn't possibly imagine, and that darkness stains your soul forever. I know- I've been through a similar grinder, and the range of emotions, from guilt to anger, to loneliness and desperation, self-loathing, apathy and confusion is something that rocks you to your core.

Are actual live videos of people doing things permitted still? I’ve seen a couple and I’m pretty sure Numa Numa was a Newgrounds original. Most of those submissions are usually bad, though.

The specific rule that covers live-action states:

"Our focus is on animation. If you want to try live action here, it must be a short film with legit production value and preferably some animation component done in post production."


In other words: we don't want Newgrounds to be overrun by crappy TikTok dances and kids making fools of themselves.


This means live-action is sort of allowed if you do something really cool with it, such as a 'Roger Rabbit' styled film where cartoons interact with the real world, but not rely on it in order to upload a new video every day like on YouTube. This also means the Numa Numa video (where the author was just using his arms to dance) was technically against the Guidelines and thus it was removed.


Examples of live-action done right on NG include MUTT and CHOPS or WILLY THE WHIZ-KID


Even the 2nd Annual Tank Awards video could possibly fall under the 'legit production value' umbrella.
