_Barracks Roster as of December 1st, 2021:_

Can you believe it's December already? This will be the last roster report in 2021, as the next will be New Year's day, 2022! It's been a crazy year, and I can only hope things get better for all of us in the next one.

November was a busy month here in the Barracks. For starters, our resident voting machine, EGSC @Guthrie, hammered out over 2,600 b/p points while also being the most active member in the forum. I'm convinced that he's actually twins, and they take turns online all the time, giving the impression that one person is on 24/7/365. Regardless of how he does it, it's all very much appreciated! *Salutes*

We can't forget EGSC @Peregrinus and EGSC @Exedor, who also have been very supportive in the forums as well as very active in the portal. Well done, crew, well done, indeed! *Salutes*

And let's not forget my old friend EGSC @Lizzardis, who made top 5 in the monthly gainer list while helping out folks in the forum. It's really great to see you active again - we're keeping you off the streets and out of trouble! From one troublemaker to another, you know exactly what I mean! Ah, the good times in the good old days. Oh, by the way, what did you do with that old van, the goat, my power tools and the 200 litre drum of chocolate pudding? Last I remember, you were picking up some new recruits for their "orientation training", and when you opened the van doors, the goat made a break for it and took off with the car keys. Really hard time explaining the contents of that van to that to the local constabulary.

But I digress. As the year winds down, I hope that we all have the opportunity to be with friends and family, to mend the fences and put our arguments behind us, and to let the spirit of the season shine through all of us.

Let us be the people we know we can be; Do good, and good will come back to you. It sounds corny, but it is very true - if you want to feel better this holiday season, do something nice for someone else just because you can. if you're down and out. and really don't feel like it, that's when you need to do it the most. Trust me on this, I am speaking from experience, and at my age, it's easy to get cranky and hate the world . But if I take a step back, and help someone else out, the little gratitude or a small smile and a quiet "Thank You" really goes a long way.

With that, I hope that you all have a happy, safe and loving holiday season - and to the Jewish folk, Happy Hanukkah! - and may 2022 be the best year of our lives for all of us!

Thank you for that fantastic update, @byteslinger! It's been a rough year, to say the least, and your periodic pep talks have been a very welcome dose of positivity. It hasn't all been bad. I got to see my family a bit this year because of the vaccine, my wife and I moved into what we hope to be our permanent home for at least the next decade, and I am fortunate to say that nobody in my immediate family is a psychopathic death cult member (IYKYK). I'm very hopeful that next year will bring a slow but steady increase in our collective health - both mental and physical - as the pandemic dies down. Fingers crossed!

I also want to chime in and say that this is the fourth time @byteslinger has intimated that I'm not a single human - when will it end? I, a single person and certainly not multiple entities working to take over humanity, do this because I care!
