I used to use Zone Alarm a lot. I had it installed for about 6 months, but when I reformatted I didn't reinstall. I have no problem against it, sir. I put it on my fiance's computer, and it works well for her.

As far as the membership requirements, there are only a few requirements:

- A member of the Elite Guard
- Willingness to participate within reasonable levels (Our Barracks Records Officer seems to be on the ball on that, so I will leave that to his judgment)
- Willingness to be in the spirit of the Barracks (The only person that has posted here outside of the spirit was Ramagi, who was here for other reasons...so that's not any trouble).

My theory is that being in the Elite Guard is restriction enough. There are only about 2,200 Elite Guards out there, which makes this a rather exclusive club already.

I will take Sergeant Major Major_punk's suggestion and be more strict about the people that take up officer positions. I will make sure the following are enforced:

- If you are negligent in your duties, then you are gone.
- You must be a Sergeant or more to get it.
- You must be a regular poster to hold a position.

But any Elite Guard has the right to be here, and anyone on Newgrounds with a vested interest has the right to participate here. As said before, you must be an Elite Guard to be a member, but anyone can be here.

I hope that is how you want the Barracks to be, Ma'am. I certainly hope everyone agrees with me. Thanks for your ears, soldiers!

Today I gained 104 points, making my quota and then some. I'll probably get a few more as the last few flashes I voted on leave judgement, as well. Not bad for a day's work! Tomorrow I have to leave the house for a few hours to see a movie with some civilian females...while it hurts me whenever I am away from the portal, I think I'll manage somehow... :-)
And I'll still have plenty of time tomorrow to become a corporal! ^_^

Well, sir, when I said "officer," I meant one of the Barracks officers, such as Chief Barracks Officer (myself), or Sergeant Major Major_punk (Barracks Records Officer).

In answer to your question, there are three types of officers:

Non-Commissioned Officers - Various ranks of Sergeants
Warrant Officers - Praporshchiks in this army
Commissioned Officers - Anything from Second Lieutenant up

I thought Elite Guard Sergeant was a good cutoff for holding a Barracks officer position, as they are NCO's, and Sergeants traditionally are in charge of the front lines!

also, 3000 B/P is a nice, round number for minimum B/P's

Well, 100 B/P a day is fun, isn't it? If you mess up on a day, though, you will be constantly be playing catchup with yourself. I was about 50 points behind this morning, which is fracturing during the week for me. I got about 110 B/P, which fulfilled today's quota and caught up 10 points. Luckily, I still have about 3 hours before I go to bed, so I'll have plenty of opportunity to catch up.

Judging by some of the comments I've received and a quick view of the top 300 B/P list shows that very few can maintain 100 B/P a day. Surely you and I will be up there soon enough!
