I think someone should talk to this peraon because they're either ignorant of how NG portals work or are just abusing the system by posting the same thing in the Movie and Art Portals. The newest movie got daily 4th (the fact it shouldn't have passed aside), that's definitely not okay. If they know it goes in the Art Portal, why submit it to Movie too?

@TurkeyOnAStick, thoughts? Seems they should only be uploading content once to either the movie or art portal.
Vote accordingly. I don’t think moderators should dictate whether something is better off in the art portal or movie portal.

But I feel like uploading duplicates to two portals is gaming the system for views. I feel like that at least shouldn't be allowed, same as you couldn't post the same thing to the movie portal twice. Or, wait, can you? I was kinda assuming you couldn't, but I'm not actually sure.
I think the best and only solution which doesn't involve mod intervention would be to simply make it clearer to both authors and voters what should go where, not so much rules but general guidelines, like there are guidelines for monthly voting. People would still vote stupidly, but I think at least the ones who do so because they don't get what NG is might stop. Something to hope for in the near future, I guess. I agree that mods shouldn't generally interfere, even in cases like this, had there not been an Art Portal submission.
