DEFCON Update:

I really can't post enough to keep these updated. It's tough right now, but things will get better. I'd have to go with DEFCON 3 at the moment, as the Portal is showing strong signs and is definately showing room for growth.

I got a LOT of work to catch up on. I hope you all got in a LOT of points while I was away, because I am now back in business! Turns out it was just the power supply on my computer, whew, which means I didn't lose anything.

It happens. I had computer problems myself. One of my Timex/Sinclair 1000's blew a chip, so the video became all screwed up. Naturally, that was the one with the crappy chassis, so I performed a swap. At least I have one that still works, as well as a very good wall-hanging. :-)

And YES, I actually use my Timex/Sinclair 1000's on occasion. I have to say, eBay is the best place, ever.

Even though it was blammed. Will you still get postive whistle points? Or will it be accounted for and the points go towards you because several submissoins I have flagged or not following the rules were blammed and in turn they were blammed but I am unsure if I have recieved the points for whistling it.

You only get the point if the flash is marked for administrative review and checked by Wade and determined against the rules and deleted, not a second sooner...

lol I don't flag nearly as much as you, but I follow the abusive review thread, so maybe in the distant future? lol it's one of those I-doubt-I'll-get-it-but-it'd-sure-be-nice things for me, lol.

Good point. Also, there are probably plenty that are vieing for gold whistles (though none of them so dedicated as our Major...)

Oh yeah, speaking of doubt-I'll-get-it stuff, the NG stickers I ordered finally came! I mailed in an order for 15 stickers all the way back in October, and they finally arrived today at lunchtime. Now I have laptop-fodder for me and my friends! Also, Wade (who I assume was the one that sent out the stickers, as he was the one doing it last I heard) was nice enough to include a "Thanks, Peter" post it!

Now all I have to do is wait for them to come out with stickers of the new NG Logo, so I can order more. :-)

Thank you, sir. Not much apparently. I gave it to this computer nerd guy who works with my dad, and he only charges the cost of the parts...so, however much a power supply is, lol.

I can't give an exact report, because I didn't copy down what I started with today. But it was near the 11,000 you need for First Lieutenant, so my total is 138, give or take a few. Not bad, but not as good as I'd prefer.
I need to kick into overdrive to make up for lost points...
