Ok, I flagged it, But it seems that when I flag actual abusive reviews, I get punished for "incorrect flags", even though I usually only flag reviews that say stuff like "IM GONNA KILL YOU" or "YOUR GAY GO FUCK YOURSELF". I got a garbage whistle once for actual abusive reviews, but I got help from a mod to fix it.

That's a really bizarre thing to say about a penguin. In any case, I wouldn't consider it to be explicitly abusive.

As stated in the Review Guidelines:

Reviews that are found to offer no useful information to the author may be deleted.

The review isn't helpful in any way and might be deleted, but this kind of review isn't a big priority over actually abusive reviews.

The review probably wouldn't be considered abusive. It's not a personal attack. It may still be removed. @NekoMika undoubtedly has a better sense of these things than I do; handles 'em day in and day out.

If you're only flagging all-caps insult reviews then you absolutely shouldn't be losing points, it has to be something else you're doing, but gaining whistle points is a slow climb and you lose more for a bad flag than you gain for a correct one. Fastest way to a deity whistle is still by reporting audio submissions if you're interested.

Tbh I wouldn't say 'treading the line' so much as 'deliberately and excessively stepping over it as much as possible'. In particular he's drawn sexualized art of Keemstar's actual pre-teen daughter for example. Not much of a line left to tread when he's trying to eroticise real children, even if it's not as gratuitous as his other work.

I used to be able to do it because I used to check Newgrounds 24/7, but after a while it gets too tiring to keep those numbers up. I used to be the top gainer every month, now I'm usually third.

Ten years ago, I would have agreed with you. Animations used to be blammed or saved within hours of being submitted. Now, that time is roughly 12 hours or so (just an estimate, I don't have the data to back that up). So it's usually enough to check the portal before I go to sleep and after I wake up and pick up most of the points. I usually check the Portal on my lunch break and when I get home from work, too. I've noticed that I miss a lot of blams this way after periodically looking at the obituaries.

I also feel like I'm a much more lenient critic than @Jackho. Sure, I'll blam something like a terrible copycat Madness animation or a Flappy Bird clone, but if someone is making a genuine effort to create something original, I'll probably be voting 2 or higher. It seems like we have some subtle differences related to what we want the Portal to be.

So if I had to answer that in one sentence - I guess I just don't have too many hobbies.

Same here, if we're aloud to go back to the NGPD days but I lost the steam for 1,000+ gain in a month years ago. Now I'm just happily dordling toward being a Sup. Commander.

I am an I.T. consultant with clients in various different time zones, and I don't sleep much. Being older and single means that I have the time to keep up on the portal, since I'm my laptop way too many hours a day. Yes, I do run a customized version of Portal Guard on my laptop to keep me aware of the new entries, but with the slow turnover, if I don't vote on something for an hour or two, it's still most likely going to be under judgement.

Being on Newgrounds is therapy for me. It's my connection to a world that I enjoy being part of, without the nonsense of social media. I've been here for almost 12 years, met a lot of good people and made some nice friends. I enjoy being part of the EGB as well as all of the stat programming I've done (and yes, there's something new under development!)

For now, all of my "free time" is spent here, helping out when I can. It certainly beats staring at a TV watching crap on Netflix... unless, of course, it's Star Trek related!

That's actually a Newgrounds feature. With new secure-site html, they have an option to select that for games that don't function on secured (https://) but will on the older insecure (http://). Many authors select it when it's not necessary, tho. I've cleared that.

It IS however, a Cyberix 3D template, so it will be removed.
