HO HO HOPE you become a Newgrounds Supporter this year!
We're working hard to give you the best site possible, but we have bills to pay and community support is vital to keep things going and growing. Thank you for considering!

This is a non working pop up submission!

A potentially neat curio but the uploader is not the creator.
@RightTime, same. I wouldn't have noticed if not for my pop-up blocker.

Tough to believe that this year is almost over - Halloween just passed, Thanksgiving in about 3 weeks, and then Christmas a month after that. The summer went by too fast , but looking back I see that the Barracks as a whole has grown and all of its members have been doing an excellent job of protecting Newgrounds. We have a great group of people here, and we do make a difference!
True that. The year has passed just as quickly as @GUTHRIE has gone from chilling like a villain to absolutely slaying the portal. Fantastic job!
We grew a bit bigger this month with the welcome reactivation of EGSC @Fro
I'm happy for it. It's like a new life has been breathed back into this fine establishment. I couldn't be much happier, bar if @Coop, @EagleRock, and @HeavenDuff popped in every so often. I miss our talks. Things are looking up, up, and up. :) Also, highly recommend that Uber thread. Good read.
Last but not least, I want to recognize EGSC @Gamejunkie , EGSC @Exedor , EGSC @Asandir, Sgt 1st Class @Jackho and Sgt. @ADR3-N for their continued and constant support in the EGB forum. It seems the moment any flash or inquiry is posted, one of these fine folks are there with an answer almost immediately. Thank you all for your unwavering dedication and loyalty! *Salutes*
Oh, you flatter me. I believe my contributions are vastly overstated, but I'm happy to be included, nonetheless. I've been struggling with my sleep cycle, a little depression, and trying to balance other projects like the 15th anniversary AP project in the Audio forum, commissions, and remixes of @Troisnyx and @Ultramartyr's work with modding and RL. The clouds are dividing, though. Heh.

Hoping to be a little more active this month. Past couple weeks have been stupid busy! Looking forward to seeing @Fro's stats by the end of the month. :)

Yeah I think you may be right about this. I was very dubious re: his submissions & will try to find 100% proof that they are stolen. If you can find something concrete get back to me. I'll shoot the Youtuber a PM & see if he knows what's happening. Or you can if you feel so inclined. I'm going to bed shortly, so feel free to help out.

Yes.
I'll shoot them a message... Or you can if you feel so inclined.
Actually, that is something that should be left to site moderators only.

I've never done something like that in an accusatory way. That's a pretty obvious boundary I guess I've always known to not cross.
It looks like RossFromDerpcraft's account was deleted so the point is kind of moot.

Why? Before I was a Moderator, I messaged literally hundreds of Youtuber's to ask if they had submitted material to Newgrounds or if someone had stolen it & submitted it for themselves. Well over half the people I contacted replied to me that it was stolen. Then when I got that proof, I posted about it here. You don't need to be a Moderator to ask questions.

Let me be a little more clear. I've never contacted someone on Newgrounds that I suspected of stealing content. I have contacted other content creators that who suspected had had their content stolen.
That's what I assumed was proper procedure. Moderators and other authority figures can probe suspected content thefts. People contact creators all the time about a lot of different but related subjects and it's not a nuisance to bring a suspected theft to light. Contacting a suspected thief is more of an enforcement procedure, which I've seldom been in the position to impose.

I never suggested that you contact 'the thief' nor would I, my suggestion to you was to contact the Youtuber & ask him whether he had himself submitted the reported submission, just to verify what you were already fairly certain of. There is absolutely no reason why you cannot do this. For someone to suggest that this to be left for the 'Mods only' is absurd & a bit conceited in my opinion.

*Maximum agreement*
I can maybe understand discouraging younger and less experienced users from contacting creators, but I think anyone in the EGB can be trusted to not goof it up. It's not a complex task.

I don't know about duplicating it here, since there are two ways to report. Anyway, I reported Bob the Robber 4 with the following description:
The original author is Flazm. https://flazm.newgrounds.com/games/ Flazm made and submitted the original Bob the Robber and Bob the Robber 2 to Newgrounds and Kongregate. They are a studio: http://flazm.com Their studio then moved from Russia to Lithuania. The new studio made Bob the Robber 3 and 4 but didn't submit it to these websites. (Maybe they don't have the account passwords or just don't care.) This new uploader account OrangeGamesNL is submitting Bob the Robber 4 here on Newgrounds right now. OrangeGamesNL doesn't have information online about itself. It seems like JUST a Newgrounds account, nothing more. Since they don't appear to even be proper sponsors, this could be stolen, in the sense that Newgrounds doesn't allow it. If at least the uploader was Kizi, which is linked from flazm.com as the host portal of Bob the Robber 4, but no, it's not the case. This entire OrangeGamesNL account could even be banned despite having earned an award and having submitted many games. OrangeGamesNL links to a website on its profile, but then you would have to look into the stance on random game portals submitting "stolen" games... (Games that they didn't made or sponsor, but may have permission to host, if they're free...)
The entire account as I had suggested was not deleted. Only the Bob the Robber submission was. Now, hilarity ensues. OrangeGamesNL just released a game (from the same authors of Bob the Robber) that is already on Newgrounds!

Now, just because we haven't done anything yet does not mean that we can't. If you're going to be a dick about things, we can start things up sooner, bro.
To all my friends and comrades of the Elite Guard,
Today, as I think about all my blessings and all that I am thankful for, I just wanted to say thank you to all of you here, for being part of my life, and making me part of yours. May you, your families and your loved ones have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and as we start the holiday season, may you all find joy, peace and happiness. And again, thank you all for letting me be part of something wonderful here at Newgrounds!
Now, get off the tech and go spend some time with someone in person!
Barracks dismissed... enjoy your leave!

Anyone noticed a weird spike in low-quality blam fodder submissions lately? Did we get an influx of new young users or something?
Also @byteslinger we don't do thanksgiving over here but I can probably speak for most users here in saying thanks for the very kind words and for even thinking to take a moment out of your thanksgiving day to check in on your barrack buds. We're all thankful to have you here and keeping the rest of us together. <3

I haven't looked into it too much, but I have definitely noticed that there have been a lot more new users submitting their stuff. It's cool to see an influx of new users, I hope the quality of their submissions improves a lot, too.

I've noticed that recently. I also hope to see at least some improvement from some of them as well
