June was a good month for the Barracks - Lt. General @Lizzardis rejoined the ranks of active members, and our newest recruit, @Guthrie , is blazing away and has earned a promotion to Major.

Add to that the fine work of @Deftonesfan665, @Exedor, @GameJunkie, @Decky and all the others who've been knocking down the garbage as fast as it comes in, and we've really had a strong month. Job well done, comrades, well done indeed! *Salutes*

Thank you all for your support! I am both humbled and excited about this new appointment, and I look forward to working with all of you to become a mod worthy of the position. It does speak volumes about the Barracks: how many of our members are mods? Quite a few, so I know we are all doing something right.

Armed with these new tools, keeping the portal clean will be that much more easier.

Say... has anyone had a pop-up tab appear in their browser after playing one of selfdeviant's games? Running Firefox 54.0 64 bit. Few seconds after beating this game, one of his game sites opened up. PDS I didn't click anything, in fact I was scrolling down to vote when it sprung.

Ah,I brought that up and here's one of the answers from DeftonesFan665:

NsrEscapeGames starts spamming the site with games that are cut and paste material, then they will be someone to keep on eye on. Right now, they have only submitted four games since joining. It's not something to be concerned about right now. If they were submitting a game or two everyday that were basically the same thing, however, then we would take action.

From that,I would say it's best to leave it to the moderators to decide if an account is used for shovelware and when it's time to start reporting their content which is when you start seeing submissions(even those that passed) from that account getting removed.

Thank you for your interest in joining the Elite Guard. We have a new ROTC program that you might be interested in, but you'll need to get a little experience under your belt. Seems fine to me and didn't crash. Worked for me on Chrome. It took around a minute or so to load.
