I did read the thread occasionally. Yeah, not fond memories so much there. Did get quite a bit of trouble.
The Code of Conduct & Manifesto shouldn't be too different from all those years ago, but I will check it out as a refresher anyway.
CoC shouldn't be much changed. The Manifesto, probably not as well. Anything that has been updated is merely to reflect major changes in the Portal itself.
You never know, there may be some hidden clause at the bottom, saying I need to receive daily floggings, or surrender myself to the EGB gods weekly. I know how you guys work :P
Actually, that's not a hidden clause. Read between the lines and you'll see in 4 pt font comic sans that all members of the EGB, including CBO must flog themselves daily a la Rammstein's Rosenrot music video.

It's strange. I never actually realise how much I miss our old cluster of friends on here, until I get into that Nostalgic mindset.
I miss @EagleRock's writings, @HeavenDuff, ton of others I can't name off the top of my head because laaaaaate. Sometimes I catch myself thinking back to the admittedly so-90's layout we had before the redesign in '06 or so. I'd been visiting NG since '03 probably by that point. Got addicted to the AP in '05. The pop-up userpages were my favorite.
The fact of whether I like the new NG layout, is a story for another time. Spoiler, I don't like it.
I enjoy the notification feed. That's about it, lol. It's important for NG to adapt though. Gotta keep up with the Joneses.
I did try as much as I could to be active on here. The problem was, I just kind of left, with no explanation.

I can't so much promise that I'll be as active as I once was, but considering I'm at a time in my life where I have time to put into other projects, I perhaps would like to spend more time here. At least if it's my voice driving a conversation, I wont feel so bad about this place becoming a lot dustier than I'd like.

About that though, I also can't promise that I will be able to report content as well as I'm used to. Perhaps the obvious stuff, but I haven't been well up on what exists, and what doesn't, so please excuse me if I'm a bit rusty in that area. My whistle hasn't been thoroughly blown, in a while. (Yes Byte, you may take that as a euphemism ;P)
I have to say, I'm not so much of a wiz at flagging in the game/movie Portal these days either. At least not stolen stuff. Unless of course the flash itself names a different author or something. That's another matter. The biggest things to watch out for are malicious site links and scripts running. People have been trying to slip shit through the window blinds lately.
On that note... @EDM364, do you like strawberry-flavoured lube, or are you more of a candy-flavoured person?

Judging by your reviews, your voting habits look erratic. It also concerns me that the majority of your 0 star reviews offer no constructive criticism at all. This is a huge no-no. Your blams are higher than your protects by a ratio of 9:7 or so, which raises concerns about whether you purposefully vote lower on flashes in UJ to inflate blam stats, although with the age of your account, 17 years, who knows when those points accrued.
I would say come back when you've gotten some quality reviews under your belt. If CBO @Byteslinger should decide to override that decision, I wouldn't hold a grudge. My gut says that despite frequenting Newgrounds 17 years rather consistently, you just might not have the same enthusiasm for protecting the Portal that we do. I could be wrong, of course, and maybe you just were never encouraged to leave constructive reviews and vote what you feel a submission deserves rather than for blams or protects. We exist in our current state to keep Newgrounds' Portal as it is, as it has been since it opened, the best place for professional animators, game programmers, and amateurs alike to not only share their content but get honest feedback from the community. That, and we keep the place clean from malicious or illegitimate content such as browser based viruses or stolen submissions.
