Sir EagleRock, Members of the Elite Guard.

Perhaps the Elite Guard should have more requirements than just 1500 Blam/Protect.
Maybe we can make the requirements so that to be a member you must really be Elite!

Now im just throwing this idea out there.
But maybe we can make the Elite Guard Barracks something everyone will want to be a part of.

Just some possible ideas:

Idea #1
- 10,000 b/p
- 500 reviews
- Level 11
- 1000 Posts.
- Silver Whistle

This one (above) I know wont be too popular but im just trying to get my point across.

Idea#2

- Elite Guard Praporschik ( Gold Ranks )
- 250 Reviews
- Level 10
- Silver Whistle

Idea #3

- 5000 Blam/Protect
- 100 Reviews
- 1000 Experience
- Silver Whistle

Idea #4

- 3000 Blam/Protect
- 50 Reviews
- Level 9
- Silver Whistle

I chose 3000 b/p because this is the 10th rank (even number), Its the first rank to require 1000 b/p more and it requires a mininum of 6.00 voting power even if you only have 400 experience.

I would like input if anyone thinks even more requirements is a good idea.

about the idea of more requirements to join the elite guard barracks, maybe a time serving in N.G police would help your chances of getting in a little. just a sugestion.

Excellent observation, Private. I believe that the Clock Crew is now a reputable group, except for the poor-quality Clock Crew-imitation flash. However, other groups have yet to make this transition.

I don't like the idea of it, sir. The idea of excusivity among the ranks is not a great idea. However, I think that levels of involvement could be applicable here.

Your idea reminded me of an idea that I was toying with before. First off, as I am sure you know, the Sergent rank is the first rank to require 1000 b/p and is indeed the first leadership rank. I think, for the future, a rank of Sergeant or above is required to be an officer here. This of course can exclude ranks such as the liasons, which might need lower-ranked people (in the case of the NGPD laison).

However, I think full exclusivity is not a good idea, as we are all Elite Guards and we are all entitled to be in the Barracks. As far as status in the group, the higher ranks will automatically command higher rank. As with the officers, Sergeant should be the minimum to go along with what you said and what I was thinking of earlier.

Good point, sir, but I don't feel exclusivity is really a good idea. After all, we ARE all Elite Guards. Perhaps we could figure out a more solid officer system later on which would help with the idea of making the Barracks something everyone will want to be a part of.

That's only half-true, Private. The Barney Bunch do show their faces on occasion and brave the Portal without the guise of a decent flash. The fileswapping is rather annoying, though.

That sounds right. But, there is a way to get around that if you really want the points. Simply just vote a 2 on them, when it passes, flame it out with a 0. This might sound dumb. I doubt the barney bunch mass votes it even if it passes judgement. It might take a long time though.

I only returned to Newgrounds a month or so ago, so I don't know EVERYTHING there is to know...

UGH! You said it, PFC! I was only able to get around 50 B/P's so far!! The Portal is extremely slow, which is going to prevent me from reaching my 100/day quota! I currently need 35 more (I had extra from yesterday), which will be hard at this rate.

The Glock Group (and the Lock Legion, for that matter) are similar to the Clock Crew. Their flash includes two types: the high-quality, Portal-worthy submissions the good members contribute to our Portal, and the low-quality submissions done by those trying to get in or those masquerading as a group member. Be sure to note which entries are good and which are bad and do not automatically vote either way.

Even if they are a LL, GG, or CC member (or appear to be), they are still entrants to the Portal and have the right to be judged fairly. Make sure to do so with these groups and with any other that might potentially have decent submissions.

it has been very slow lately. it's bitter sweet though. it's bad because no points to gain. it's good because no crap flash. don't know why but, hopefully it'll get back on track soon, for the points sake.

It is affecting me, as well, Private. As I've said earier, my goal is 100/day. It'll be tough to reach that at this level!
