I just checked the obituaries like you said over 400 flashes from that games2dress acount going back to 2010. I knew that account has many flashes, but never as many. It is ironic as I wish it was flashes being blammed, like how you used to get loads of blammed flashes. That account was spamming right? with that many nearly identical games it was close to it. Cookie cutter flashes. Wonder how may more will end up there?

Wonder how may more will end up there?A good majority of the cookie cutter account submissions likely will in the coming days and weeks. While there is almost 1,300 entries in there today it still doesn't beat the record for most blams which was 1,819 on June 25, 2004. Who knows though, might hit the record sometime with the cookie cutter submissions being removed.
Do you think that it is wade going on a mass deleting spree again. I think I remember him doing so back in later 2010 - early 2011. I remember chatting with the NGPD lot about how they all had around 16 unexplained blams appear on there stats.

I'm sure that everybody is, except the people who submitted them. Are we getting extra blams does anybody know? I havn't really been keeping track of my stats so I couldn't really say.

Well, I did gain a larger than normal jump in Blams, considering I had one before heading out to see friends and 9 when I checked in again this morning. The more recent ones that I voted 0 on may still have counted for Blam purposes, which was nice.

I still have no idea if my blams went up, I guess I should keep a closer eye on how many I have but I like to basically ignore them and get a surprise when to roster comes out, this is unless I know i'm coming up to a milestone.

I can tell you it's a collaboration of both of them.

Yea I noticed that also. I mentioned something to Wade about it but never got an answer.
Seems to me like I got no blams at all, and I vote 0 on all those shovelware flashes when they are under judgment.
Sorry for the double post, but I had to mention this.
This guy is another shovelware account I've had my eye on.
He keeps submitting these crappy ass games twice a day, all with mochiads. But I think this entry takes the cake. I really invite you to play it and figure out what's wrong with the game. It's completely beyond me how his games keep passing.

Nevermind Wade took care of it lol.
But this allows me to tell you with absolute certainty, I did no get the blam points for that account getting deleted. I voted 0 on at least 20 of his flashes while they were under judgment.
Apparently I'm the only one posting today. Anyway, I need you help guys.
I saw this before somewhere, not sure if the previous version was stolen, or what, but I know for a fact I've played this.
Help me find it! :-)

I missed that one; now I'm curious as to what exactly was so horribly wrong with it (apart from the obvious 'shovelware' thing that was wrong with that account in general).
Also, the EGB is now 40,000 posts long. Well, until an inactive account gets deleted and some of the old posts in here are lost or whatever, but for now you guys can all pat yourselves on the back in the knowledge that you've passed another milestone in keeping crap out of Newgrounds.

That particular flash was a quiz game with math problems. It would show a math problem and give you 4 possible answers, only if you swiped your mouse over the answers, all would disappear other than the right answer.
I highly doubt this was intentional because the way the scoring was set up you just got 500 points for every right answer, no matter the time taken or how many wrong answers you swiped over.
It gave me a good laugh about the lazy, lame ass attempt at flash. And also proved to me that no one actually plays or watches under judgment flashes more than 3 seconds. Otherwise his crap would have never passed judgment.

Too lazy to do anything worthwhile really.
Great news regarding the official alteration of the submission guidelines to ban the submission of shovelware, here's hoping it spells the doom to crappy, cookie-cutter clones being submitted twice a day, every day by particular authors.

We can only hope. I think that we were all sick of the genericness of those games, as it turns out so was Tom. I wonder what the person who made the first ever one would think about all this and his/her creation being slightly altered then spread across the Internet in a vein attempt to make some quick cash? Personally, I'd be quite pissed off.

Yes it's been in the works for a while now.
What it really comes down to is fairness. NG is a website that promotes individual artists who put effort and time into their games. By letting people submit generic, mass produced crap on the website, it undermines what NG is for, and also takes away earned ad revenue from those artists who actually deserve it.
It's nice to make it official, even though it had been an unwritten rule now for a while.

First the shovelware accounts all get assed (we're at 2600+ deleted flashes now :D ), and now my childhood gets some closure too. COULD TODAY GET ANY BETTER?
Oh, wait: it can. First vote of the day, bitches! >:D

I was sorely disappointed.
This game kept me hooked when I was 15. Now, ten years later, it just looks exactly the same. Which in today's standards is lame. It was cool back then, but the wait vs the improvement really didn't do it for me. I stopped playing after 3 minutes.

I checked it and only "dabus.swf" was blammed. Yesterday's only showed 400. What did I miss?

Doesn't that make it abusive? As in site-removable abusive?
The Review Request club, the Blammers List (update every 15th), and the Protectors List (Update every 1st). My sig has it all.

Offtopic, but then isn't Little-Rena a lady? Or is it a lie?
if so, that makes 2

Fellas, this is a perfect example of why you shouldn't jump to conclusions off the author comments only.
Have either of you checked the author's other submissions for the same flash? I did and I didn't find it.
I'm pretty sure the context of the author comments is that he uploaded it on youtube before and is now uploading it on Newgrounds.
You have to remember to not rely on author comments.

To be honest I didn't even view the flash I was simply handing out advice. Obviously if he hasn't posted it here before then it is not abusive. I guessed that Knuckstrike had already checked and I was too busy to do any portal work at that time.
Sorry for the double post and everything guys but it has to be pointed out that I think this has probably been the slowest day in The Portal for some time. I've been online for quite a few hours now and there has been hardly any under judgement flashes.

It's probably because we have less shovelware being submitted, and when it is it's been getting deleted.
Also, everyone is saving up for Pico Day tomorrow.

I forgot about that, I'm guessing that well have the usual mix of rubbish, just passable crap and the odd gem. Just like every NG day. Personally I've never been the biggest Pico fan, yeah I said it.

Yes, we'll have to be thorough tomorrow to ensure nothing illegal or rule breaking makes its way through. There's usually a flood of flashes associated with the various days on NG, and without the whistle system, it'll be easier for these to fall through the cracks. Plus it's saturday and I'll be busy, so I can't keep my usual close eye on the Portal.
I think the reason you might not be a Pico fan is because you have to put yourself in the context. Pico was created in early 2000 when graphics were crap, and the options for flash games were few and far in between. At the time it was innovating and way cool. It might not look that way now, because of the way flash games look now (the standards have improved a ton), but Pico is truly a piece of history for NG and it's a big piece at that. There wasn't anything like it before.
