Anyway, happy CD11! Keep vigilant, it's quiet at the moment but apart from the normal Clock Day spam it's the best day to try and sneak through unsuitable content due to the majority voting 5 without viewing. I'd ask everyone to keep their voting habits in check as well; CD or not fair voting is fair voting. Besides, I'd love to pick up a blam this year and I need some assistance on the front lines, lol.
Ahh, yes. Clock Day snuck up on me this year. I'm not changing my voting habits, not even for today. I actually really enjoy seeing well-made Clock animations.
Keep your eyes open; there's a lot of people who are attempting to pass stolen animations and blatant BS in the fast and confusing Portal today. Basically everything that got blammed in the last week is being resubmitted today.
Some guy submitted the same flash twice, both are UJ, do what you need:

It shows animation, but no game like it claims to be.
It might just be an issue on my end, though I doubt it. I just don't want a broken game passing because of the day.

Sadly it did pass with a ok score actually of 3.30... Well its clock day and just about anything will pass with the masses voting 5 on everything they see. It's the first clock day I'm active since 2008 and its alot slower then i remember. It's been a long day combing threw the submissions looking for something worthy of passing but i haven't found much today. Glad to be active again with all off you!

I love the banner for Clock Day 2011 its wicked I love the design best one ever. I think this year is an improvement on last year I missed most of today till this evening. Spend two hours or so got around 13 saves, not as good as my 60 of 2009 but today Clock Day was on a funny day for me. Not as busy as other years more then last year though. I'm liking this Clock Day more then last year seen some decent submissions so far.

I too like the Clock designs that have been put up. I was surprised to still see them up today but then again it would be a short period of time to have them up for just the day. Guessing they'll be down tomorrow or the day after.

I was only online for about a hour yesterday so I only got about 20 saves which is terrible compared to the 100 or so that I got last year. I was online all day though :P.
These two submissions passed, and it's not even clock day anymore. People really need to learn to stop 5'ing everything the minute clock day ends. Honestly, I think Clock day should completely stop happening... It's been 10 years and each year the submission count decreases.

I was out for about half the day. Wish I could of been on more and made a decent flash instead of throwing together a shoddy one. But I didn't miss out on too much as it wasn't exactly the greatest clock day i've seen here. No, I was around for it, Like last year, it was underwhelming. I actually managed to pick up 2 blams (but a much higher pile o' saves) - and I did adjust my voting to be more critical. Some were cute (and short); most were borderline spam; and of course, we had the obvious stolen ones tossed in for good measure.
I can tell you this: over the last 4 years, the Clock Day flood has dwindled more and more. This year, I think we had about 360 flashes for the day; last year was about 430; the year before that was about 810, and then before that, over 1,100.
That downward trend troubles me - not for the diminished stat-whoring, but as a measurement of the overall activity at Newgrounds. A few years ago, there were many more active flash artists trying to show their work - and more users ready to vote on them. The activity at NGLogs also is falling off. It seems that either the outside world is growing bored with Newgrounds - or we're just not attracting the Flash artists any more.
We talked about the upcoming re-design and our hopes that it will bring a better sense of fairness to the flash and audio voting. But how will it become vibrant again, and bring back the activity levels we've seen just three or four years ago? Newgrounds is ad-based, which means that the Fulps get funded based on click-throughs and activities through their ads and sponsors. If interest drops, and the activity levels along with it, some sponsors might see that as a sign of a "dying site" and pull out (which then becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy).
I don't think it's that bad yet - but the trends are downward, and if they continue, it is possible that Newgrounds could be shut down due to "lack of interest". I certainly don't want that to happen , so now we need to sit back and come up with some new ideas on how we can make this place "alive and kicking" once again.
In the meantime, keep fighting the good fight - for as long as those Portals are open, we have a job to do!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's concerned about the decline of activity for the portal. For Clock Day, I think the slower portal activity helped to see more flashes so you weren't rushing through all the latest entries to ensure you got a save point. For a regular day in the portal, seeing less than 100 submissions each day as opposed to 200 back in 2004-2006 isn't a good sign. The admins may see more traffic but what about the community? We are what make this site and seeing many of us fade away isn't making me feel confident. I feel ever since YouTube came along, we've lost A LOT of portal activity and that piece of shit site only takes more and more views from Newgrounds away. It's a damn shame we live in this age of the internet where there's very little justice and very little recognition to those that deserve it.

Well only one of the flashes are under judgment, so what I did when I blew my whistle was put this in the message.
"Stolen from HentaiKey, the author claims the name "TheNewHentaiKey", but is not a part of HentaiKey.
He also has other flashes that are no longer under judgment that are stolen from HentaiKey."
Hopefully that works.

Yeah, you should probably try to link to the original submission if you can, but I think if you have to pay to view the flash submissions a link to the website alone should be good enough.

It would probably also be worth mentioning what made you think it was stolen, in this case probably the fact that it isn't resized properly and has white bars on the top and bottom of the screen and the email address isn't @hentaikey.com

Yeah, I noticed that too, but I only got about 50 or 60 saves, since I was at school in the morning and I had a lot of stuff to do in the afternoon...
I noticed that there wasn't so much flashes in this Clock Day, but, since it was my first "serious" Clock Day, I though it was normal.
I feel bad like you guys that Newgrounds is falling apart. I really don't want this to happen, since Newgrounds is just like a second home for me. I learned a lot here with you guys and I really wanna stay here for more years...

I'm pretty sure this is stolen.. but don't take my word for it. I saw someone on the last page post the other submissions he submitted yesterday as to be stolen.

I just got a phish PM from "amicableliving" - it was the old "We have $6 million dollars and we want to give it to a deserving person, so just give us all your personal info and we'll send it straight away" ruse. The account was made today. I did block it, but I wanted to give everyone the heads up that someone is being an idiot.
It figures. I complained about the lack of activity in the portal - and this is what I get.

Clock Day is of course over with sadly I agree about the decline of the submissions this year, it is very sad to think that people are not coming to Newgrounds as much as they used to. No way to I want that site YouTube to take over. There seems to not enough websites which have not been brought out by bigger companies, I really hope that does not happen here. I have seen artists like IllwillPress submit there stiff to YouTube months before its on here sad really. Anyway its great to see Idiot-Finder on here again excuse my rant.
