Well, I can't say otherwise. I will say that Pride is doing a good job at hunting similar flashes as well so you can expect NG to be a much tidier place when the redesign comes.

I'm afraid not. I was tempted to ask Tom about the status of the tank the other day but I'll give it another week or two. He did ask me about what name I wanted on the tank so I assume they need a bit of time to sort out the plaque. I am tempted to ask him when I expect it to arrive, though since it'll get me prepared for the postman to deliver it.

Nah, there's nothing really we can do except vote fairly and hope for the best. Personally, I gave those LL-Nyan flashes 0's, mainly because I don't see the entertainment value in spam (at least the ones I viewed looked like spam). One can only wonder how this year's Clock Day will turn out : /

Talking of Clock Crew day only 8 weeks counting the day, but I hope it will be celebrated more. It is the ten anniversary of the Clock Crew and last years not even a news post. I have a question. Is there a standard agreement on which original for Chocobreak is to be cited when reporting this kind of stuff? While the games are essentially the same, there's some variance between submissions - namely the arrangement of the blocks and audio. Or could we cite any chocobreak game that's hosted outside of NG?

I would cite this one because it is the earliest chocobreak produced, and it was made by "
" (which is the group responsible for creating GamesFactory 2). The main goal right now is to get users to start submitting chocobreak tutorials to the dumpgrounds, as there already is an excess of this flash (and a lot of the submitted chocobreaks have been simply ripped from the original tutorial).

I am so sorry to hear that you need to retire from the position of Roster manager. I know things have been hectic for you IRL, which of course takes priority over these on-line diversions we all are party to.
I made the roster manager tool so it would be easy for you to keep things in order - that's what I do for a living: automation. True, I could teach anyone how to use it - but it was designed with you in mind. Looks like someone else may get to play with it soon... :'(
In the meantime, I will temporarily keep the roster updated until the Command staff decides on what should be done, and who'll do it.
One last thing: are you requesting a leave of absence from the EGB at this time, or just your roster duties?

Well, I've looked around and I haven't found any evidence suggesting that this is indeed a theft. The Pony flash looks rather amateurish, I personally believe that this is indeed the original author (though his story is suspicious).

I believe this is legitimate as well. If you look on the Alabara's Facebook page (which is the advertising company that originally made this) they provide a link to the submission on Youtube (where it was submitted by Proflashman; both flashman2006 and Proflashman are Arabic, so this is probably legit).

Lizz, so sorry to hear that real life commitments are forcing you to make this decision, but I accept it nonetheless. I do hope that things pick themselves up, and sometime in the future you'll return from your leave of absence, and pending discussion with your successor, may or may not be reinstated as Records Officer, as you have done an exemplary job since you took over from Ismael92. Look forward to seeing you soon buddy.
For now, Byte has volunteered to take over for the time being, however I would hope to induct a new Records Officer as soon as possible. With this in mind, anyone who would like to volunteer for the position, please PM me. Thanks to the fantastic work Byte has put in, it's a somewhat easier job than it once was, however some training is required (though I'm sure if you ask nicely, and swear your undying allegiance to her, Byte will be glad to assist :P). It's an important role, and you'll have the gratitude of the entire Barracks for undertaking it. My only request is that you only put your name forward if you feel you are in a position, at least in the short term, to be reasonably active in the Barracks and thus have the time to fulfill the duties required of you. Nobody will freak out if the roster is a day or two late, but we do not want a scenario where our Records Officer is AWOL for weeks at a time.
I will deliberate with other Barracks Officers once I receive volunteer PMs, and hopefully in a week or two we'll decide who should replace Lizz. If you do volunteer and don't get the job, please don't be disheartened. We at the Barracks are the best of the best, frankly every active member of the Barracks is easily capable of doing this job. Besides which, I anticipate it will be a very tough decision; it's like choosing your favourite child to an extent.
To sum up, I want to thank Lizzardis for all his hard work as the Records Officer, wish him luck for the future, and I eagerly await applicants for his vacated position.

I doubt I'd make a good roster officer. Partly because I can't guarantee my continued existence on Newgronds for much longer either, but mostly because I'm a lazy shit who'd forget to post rosters constantly.
As much fun as it would be to watch Coop throw a statwhore tantrum every month, that's not the point of a roster officer. At all.
...Oh yeah: I might be leaving in the next 2 weeks or so too. It's not as certain as Lizz seems to be (....*sniff*... D'X ), but I can't really say I won't be leaving either.
