Uh...am I just doing something wrong here? All I see is an eternal screen of moving arrows between two pictures. Clicking does nothing. There is no right-click-play/forward option. Tab reveals no hidden buttons. AND it seems that this guy's other flashes are the same thing...but passed.

Yeah, they all do the same thing which is nothing, the reviews also say that much I think. But no, I don't know why anyone would, I mean I've submitted some um, pointless things but nothing that looks interactive and isn't or even a logo.

I do think letting the same thing slightly diffrent pass is silly, I've seen well known artists do it too because it was a high scoring day and they wanted an award. I'm probably a little more libral on the submissions than some people here though because I care more about what amuses me in some way rather than the quality.
Hey, look, that one I mentioned earlier got blammed. It had an absurd score of 1.47, but it didn't quite make it.
I'd say that my hope is rekindled, but A) he's got others just like it, B) it was likely only luck that enough people were on to blam it, and C) other people pass with similar/worse stuff.

I have reached the glorious rank of TOWN WATCH! Haha, 100 B/P. It's taken me THIS LONG to get 100 B/P. In the old days I'd have gotten 100 B/P within 24 hours, but being a more discriminating voter on a Portal that isn't as quick as she used to be...well, it kinda slows things down.
That's alright, though. My vote power has increased slightly, so now I'll be dealing 2% EXTRA JUSTICE to those submissions that present themselves before me.
Speaking of JUSTICE, those Nuclear Volatile etc flashes I mentioned earlier have been deleted, which is good. I did actually look it all over in detail. I was actually writing a really really really long post in response to everything said so far in the Roll Call thread. It is a lot to digest, so I was still catching up. :-) Rather than repeating my previous statements, I'll refer you to the thread itself. Suffice it to say, though, I like what she's come up with.
And just because it's my club doesn't mean it's a dictatorship. I encourage people to participate in this club...hence why it's the "Elite Guard Barracks" and not "EagleRock's Group of People That Listen to Him Without A Say." :-P

Since you haven't been successful in subduing me and returning me to my padded domicile, I have managed to start a NEW PROJECT that I would like EVERYONE'S opinion on.
Will ALL active EGB members please read this important post . I am looking for everyone's input (especially our eternally illustrious and ever-beneficent leader, EagleRock) to see if this is something that can help the barracks - or if I've just lost my mind (again).
Oh, and on a side note - funny that Eagle mentioned continuing work on his story. I had been stuck on chapter 26 on mine for many, many months - and last night, I started working with it again as well. Good! Maybe EagleRock and I can inspire eachother to finish the damn things already!

Thankfully things have been quiet enough, usual stream of stolen flash but other than that nothing too out of the ordinary.
That said, as you'll notice from the thread Coop linked to a page or so ago, and Slash's decision to get his B/P reset, that the issue of fair voting is at the forefront of a lot of people's minds once again. It is increasingly worrying how poor a QC job the voting masses are doing in the Portal. A perfect example would be the Final Boss Music flash that Coop posted above. Blank screen with a short piece of music (the origins of which are questionable at best) and yet somehow, it managed to evade the Obituaries. Frankly, I'm not sure how much worse things can get. Spam flashes being mass voted through was a problem, pure crap coasting through completely legitimately is bordering on a catastrophe.

I'm always a PM or an e-mail away, even when I'm not really active. But, yes, I'm here. It's not like it's not the time to fight against this crap (literally).

I was aware of Slash's admirable decision to reset his B/P points. While I am sure it felt good for him, I don't think that will get the message across as much as we'd like. Most people just won't care. Either way, though, I'm really glad people are stepping up more than ever before. Slash's move was definitely a powerful one, no matter how you think about it.
My only hope is that Slash can prove you can make EGSC again just by doing nothing but voting fairly. I'm not saying he's going to sway off the path, but it could take him a very long time. My only hope is that this can improve to the point where Slash can get his wings once again.
I looked at Coop's thread thoroughly, and really like what I see. I made a response myself, though I'm a bit late to the conversation. We'll see how this pans out. I like how many people are actually responding this time saying they agree. Last time we tried stuff like this, all we got were lulzy responses from non-EGB members.
And hey, you never know, this could be a turning point. The worse it gets, the more pissed off people will be. The more pissed off they are, they more willing they are to listen and change their ways. This is gonna happen, soldiers. Keep up the fight!
