Suspicious flash?

The actual animation is probably ripped off and it's just music playing with some messing around in the animation.

I'll leave this one open for debate.

Well he says that he owns it and that it was just cut from an older series that he made. But if that's actually the truth is yet to be seen.

He didn't make it. That RED_ZONE remix is from nico nico douga, a japanese website.

It looks like the conclusion has come to it being stolen. I blew it and so did another friend of mine. As far as I know so far at least 2 deities blew on it.

Thank you ThePigeonMaster for clearing that up and also pinpointing the stolen video.

No-one cares, as far as I'm aware. I'm probably not bothering to stay here for Clock Day though, since it is just an arbitrary exercise in statwhoring. I've got better things to do than sit in front of a screen all day obsessing over a number in my profile. And anything that's utter shit will get a zero from me regardless, if and when I do come here on the day.

Just watch for people trying to slip stolen / malicious flashes through the confusion and traffic on the day. Other than that, have fun. As long as you're not just blindly voting 5 on everything and are at least giving SOME thought to what's worth passing (even by Clock Day standards) and what isn't, I don't see how anyone could get mad at you for getting a ton of extra B/P either way.

I'm looking really looking forward to this years Clock Crew day on 15th August, I hope I get closer to my next badge I have been Staff Sergeant this last November. I want to get to the next badge which is like over 300 points away for me. My b/p a bit slow. Pimp very close to level 60 that is amazing.

My keyboard playing up but has anyone seen this is really good?

Use your mind, if something deserves to pass, you vote in a manner that reflects it, if you like it yourself too, vote accordingly, if you do not like it, same story. If it does not deserve to pass, you know the drill. it may seem pointless, but it's better to have fewer B/P points than to be without a back-bone.

Far as Clock Day? I tried and failed to go 24 hours last year. I remember a "first wave" right after midnight, calming down after a bit and then picking up again around 9AM or so. About 1:30 to 7:30 AM (Eastern Standard Time) would be a good six hours to take a nap, then getting back into it. I probably won't keep to that system perfectly, my sleep habits are unconventional and hard to time, and maybe last year's timing will be different than this year's, but yeah, that's how I remember it. As for voting habits? All or nearly all of it will pass, of course, but you shouldn't just let that rule your voting habits, not entirely. I'm usually just a bit harsh on the B/P, but on Clock Day I may vote to pass something that's a little silly, kinda dumb, and not quite up to my usual standards, but there's no way a blank screen or a trash stick movie would get anything but a 0 from me even then.

I think my personal best was about 925 in 2007. With a little help, you could go further, but that's fine, to be honest.

I was trying to get a Blam that day, as a sore point was not having a ration, but I have yet to get a blam on a Clock Day.

Things aren't going too well for us this year - I've got cricket, so I'll be out of the loop for quite a bit of the day...

Well last year as I have said, I only gained 100 saves. That was within a span of 5 hours, since I had to work last year. I had no blams at all. I tried blamming stuff that I thought was complete and utter crap, but to no avail. I vote fairly on Clock Day. The only jewel that I remember from last year was this:

I also submitted two flash last year. They're just one frame each. Just 2 pics of SBC and some text. Nothing more, nothing less. I did it to prove a point. We just vote like mindless zombies on Clock Day, yet the rest of the year, we think about how we vote. It's quite sad really.

I missed clock day this year, i forgot all about it due to the fact that i was not informed. In the years before i was on the forums everyday and that allowed me to find out all of this information. Having me not being on alot i forgot and well now i'm pissed.

In the past years i had counts of over 800 saves and maby 3-4 blams give or take. I would spend the whole day like it was some kind of fair that was full of whores just waiting to see me or something. As for my activity here, well i want to be part of this community...but the time evades me from being here. So whats up with all of ya?

Well, since we're on the subject of Clock Day - which is only a day away (Sunday 8/15) - I might as well throw my two cents in:

Generally, I try to vote "guarded fair" - much like others, I would pass the silly, short and generally harmless flashes through. I'd vote down blank screens, porn or anything else that clearly violates policies here. It's an odd balance for a day of "game event" voting - trying to get some free points to boost up your B/P score, but at the same time, upholding the general principals of the EGB.

I think I got 1 blam last year, despite the fact that I pulled an all-nighter amped-up on Diet Coke, chocolate chip cookies, Chinese food, pizza and chicken wings (eat with left hand, click/watch/vote with right!) - yes, all delivery food. Didn't even bother to cook for myself - just ordered in and had delivery people bring me food while I was glued to the laptop.

I'm normally not that dedicated, but it was a fun challenge to take. I may do the same this weekend. I'm not sure how many points I bagged last year, but I think it was around 500.

Clock Day - the Super Bowl of Newgrounds. Who will be victorious?

I really gotta get out more....hehehehehe.....

This makes more sense if you know who Vince Coleman is and what he have done in 1993.

Seeing that Clock Day is tomorrow, some ranks may have a huge jump depending on the output and the use of free time.

I figure I might just give a quick blurb about the "official policy" on Clock Day, since people have asked. The policy is simple: business as usual. There's no reason you should change your policies just because it's Clock Day. From what I've seen, most people try to find some kind of loophole that basically makes protecting most/all the Flash they see acceptable, and it's for one reason: for the points.

Try to avoid that temptation...we're here to give Flash a fair vote, no matter what. I've said it a million times before, but I know I've foregone at least 20,000 B/P (I think the total is more like 30,000, but I'm not sure) simply because I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt what the Flash was going to get, but I voted what I felt was fair regardless. It's easy to want to bend the rules on Clock Day, because it's not hard to determine which way the Flash is gonna swing (duh).

So, keep diligent, be fair, and don't compromise your values for a few extra B/P. That being said, don't feel bad about giving a Flash a protection if you feel it deserves it, and feel free B/P as much as possible to try to get as many points as you can. But don't go fishing for reasons to protect something when you know it shouldn't pass...it'll be blatantly obvious to everyone after the totals roll in.

To put it more succinctly, if you wouldn't give the Flash a passing vote any other day, don't.

Happy clock day! I'd like to get a blam point today, so far I've already voted 1 and 0 on a couple submissions but still no blam points :(

Eagle, don't you think that it would be a good idea to create a "Clock day abuse report" thread in our private forums like we did last year? I mean, just look at that thread, there were lots of abusive submissions, and having a special place to report them makes keeping track of them much easier. I wasn't too active last clock day but if you look at the aforementioned thread, you'll see that even someone like me can spot dozens of abusive submissions.

Sorry to pop in unannounced but I have come across an unsuitable flash:

It might be borderline considering the filter effects but later on the flash, you can clearly see a movie clip of someone taking a shit so I wanted to bring this up in time.

No banner? No news post before Clock Day? Tom must be trying to make Clock Day die down or something, because usually the Clock Day Pre-loader would have been revealed in a Front Page News Post at least a fortnight before the day came. I'm pretty disappointed with today, both in terms of quality Clock Day flashes and the amount of flashes.

At 8/15/10 10:56 AM, Cootie wrote: Happy Clock Day everyone. Let us all pray and be joyous because this is the day StrawberryClock in all of his wisdom decided that he should reveal B to man.

Damn right!

And, it was one of the worst things to happen to NG. I made some shit Clock Day flash 4 years ago and I still regret it. And most NG crews are now here after taking influence from the clock crew.

I think more influence was taken from more spam groups such as the [BB] or the [KK]. Plus I love Clock Day, everyone use to think of it as the day the portal was most active, and share their crazy flash. Sadly though, hardly anyone knew about it this year. No mention of it by Tom.

And I thought last year was a disappointment...

Well Tails, Lizz and I all agree there have been a few good jewels thus far.

Sure this one is short, but it's funny.

So far those are the only 4 that I've found that are actually really well done. The rest is pure tripe and rubbish. I've actually managed to get a few blams though. Which is a nice change of pace from last year. 100 saves, not a single blam in sight over the course of 5 hours.

Well, after 14 hours of being up all night - and still going strong - I have noticed that there's been about only 160 Clock Day flashes submitted so far - well below the flood rate we had last year. I guess that the Fulps didn't want to deal with the "flood of crud" this year, so they didn't advertise it. Can't say I blame them.

I've tried blamming over 40 of them, but no blam points yet. Voting fairly, I've only grabbed about 90 saves (and most of those were 2's). It's a tough fight, but maybe I will hit a blam before the day is over.

Now, let's get back to fighting the good fight!
