As a member of the NGPD and a friend of Lizzardis, I have to commend his activities. He puts effort into his posts, has found quite a few stolen or abusive Flashes and is generally a great guy. Sorry for the delay. Since you're a NGPD alumnus, I'll spare you the huge Code of Conduct post, since the principles of the EGB are virtually identical to those of the Police Department. Just stand by for a day or two while the Barracks discusses and votes on your admittance.

Ok, i've got an serious question, why this guy keep reincarnation no matter how many times wade delete his account(not to mention we have to mass voting zero at his flash, i just don't understand) even the well known spammer like princess launcherela and duck division has giving up on spamming newgrounds, but chris beer is totally different, he will back from the hell, again and again.
yesterday wade has delete his account for humiliating tom fulp baby in his flash
but today he come back with even crappier flash than before

Simple: this guy is an attention-whore who feels superior when he's trashing people and acting out his fantasies of control and anger. He'll keep making alts until Wade or Tom start banning the IPs that his accounts seem to originate from. But if he's using a school or work computer, or hijacking someone else's wireless, that may affect another valid user. That, however, would be dealt with if it did happen - probably not, though.

He obviously has many issues besides the need to spam Newgrounds with his filth and opinions. At times, I feel sorry for him and hope one day he grows up. That will mean he'll have to stop playing WOW when he's not on Newgrounds, get a job, move out of his mother's basement, bathe on a regular basis, and pretty much get a life. Hopefully, he'll do this before he turns 40.

But sooner or I later I think a few IP bans will keep him at bay - just my opinion, though.

In the meantime, the EGB will continue to fight the good fight, and try to keep voting fairly and blow the whistle on truly offensive flashes and reviews - not as a "blam gang", but as a keeper of the peace. Those that show no respect will, by their own actions, eventually be removed by a mod or the Fulps themselves. We are not vigilantes here - we are guards. Elite Guards.

I know some people said this already, but his an attention whore. That's the only thing he wants. For some reason (that I can't understand), he thinks it's funny to annoy other people, because that's gets him attention (even if it's negative).

But yeah, I hope that some day he'll grow up and realize how stupid he was.

On the subject of why people spam.. it really isn't for attention at all like you guys are talking about. It's not really for a stat on their page like some may think either. It's not because they have a sucky life or they are immature or any of that stuff.

It's because they find it funny when people get pissed off about spam because in all reality it doesn't really hurt anyone or make their life any worse, but yet people prove they have no real life by getting upset about things over the internet and their just bringing this out in people.

That's why I don't let it bother me and I just vote/review honestly. It doesn't make me mad or anything because it's not actually having any effect on me whatsoever in the real world. And that's the only world that matters.

Also, in other news I've noticed that today I've been on newgrounds for 5 years exactly. Here's to another five years. Signed up when I was 15. Who thought I would be here into my 20's. O.o

It could be any of those reasons. Although this is an extreme analogy, pinning a specific reason for someone to spam is like pinning a specific reason for someone to go on a killing rampage. It could be 1 reason, it could be a combination, and each person's reasons are different.

Well, you just contradicted yourself nicely there, Corky. Seeing people getting pissed off about the spam that they created is a form of gaining attention - so he's a reactionary. I'll persist in deleting the abusive reviews for his flash the same as anyone else's and if people break the rules in the right way, they will find themselves banned.

People can whine at me all they like - a guy complained this morning that he got seven days, despite the flash he reviewed about being stolen. I calmly pointed out that since everyone had been saying this was stolen, a short ban was necessary to tell people not to say this. If they have an issue, raise it to the admins. Wade deleted the spammer's account in question.

I see where you guys are coming from, but it's just very hard to almost impossible for me to see how someone would want attention over something that isn't real life. The human being naturally likes to make other people mad just to see their reaction and it has nothing to do with getting attention. How does making someone mad when they have no clue who you really are bringing attention to yourself? It's not real no matter how you look at it. Doesn't matter too much though because we all see it in the same way in the long run, just in different words.

I see attention as hey look at me. You guys see attention as that plus overt actions that actually never bring any real attention to yourself? Hm, I just don't see how it's possible. I guess I just see things in real life and not the internet so much. Like attention on the internet would be something that sirtom did or someone bragging about real life events, but never making someone mad just because it's funny.

When we play a practical joke, which most spam is, are we trying to get attention or are we just trying to make a joke at someone, fool them, anger them to a point, etc.. ?

I personally find it funny when people get mad over spam too. Someone makes a Tankman parody just to make tankman fanboys get upset, but is it for attention? Sounds the same as a practical joke to me.

Also, nice job on the bans Coop. The only ban I ever complained about was my perma ban from reviewing and apparently it was a good complaint as I found out that I didn't actually break any rules and Wade lifted it for me. :) They have no room to complain now as they are clearly breaking rules.

When someone applies to join the EGB (e.g. you) the current users get to vote whether they want the person to join or not. We usually do this in a thread in our private forums. Phantomlassuk voted in that thread.

Anyway it was about time someone made a thread about Coop's modding. He will be a great mod. He is a review mod for the time being isn't he?

I'd say he can't complain. He broke a rule, he got banned, I'd say it's fine. Someone may think you were too hard because you banned him instead of just deleting the review, but if people break the same rule constantly, they need to get at least a short ban so they learn to respect it.

It may be just one reason, maybe several, I don't know. But anyway when you "play a practical joke" I think you still want attention, maybe unconsciously. After all, even if you just want people to laugh at it, they have to pay attention at you first.
