Personally, I find it a little bit unfair that you had no real communication in the matter. It seems like you were just tossed out without warning, not quite told what was happening, and then the decision was made before you could even really say anything. I think everyone would have been much better served if you could have been confronted directly by those who found your joke topic offensive and been able to respond to that in turn.

Well, honestly i dont think the joke would be worse/better/whatever if it was racial. I just checked that topic, sexistic like hell, and a mod really shouldnt do things like that, simply cause that would show users that its "ok" to do so. Of courese, everyone who´s read the rules know better, but its about being a role model. The nature of this joke is hard, and not really funny, to be honest.
Anyway, I still think that SCD was mistreated when he did not recieve the information himself first, but heard it the "wrong" way. That shows that the admins (wade in this case) couldnt handle it properly this time. And I belive an excuse foir that is in order. But that is another issue.

This whole situation is rubbish, I'm not referring to the actual demodding of SCD, I'm talking about this huge e-drama thats grown around it. This forum is already polarized with users who will support the mods' decisions at all costs and others who hate them and the administration with a passion. Now half the users have turned SCD into a martyr and the other half have demonised him, saying he got what he deserved. The whole situation has to suck for SCD, being stuck in the middle and all. I wish everyone would just move on, but I doubt it.
One thing still bugs me though, did SCD know that his position as a mod was on shakey ground when he made his infamous thread? I know I've seen some mods write that it was the last in a string of greivances they had with him, but I haven't seen anyone state that they brought it up with him. It would be a real shame if he was demodded without given a chance to reform.
