For me its just BLAM or SAVE. 0, or 5.

Back in my noob days i used to do that but for a while now i vote what i think is fair.

Basically I feel that I vote on these guidelines:

5 Vote: The flash is absolutely awesome. The graphics are detailed and smooth, the storyline is detailed and suitable, sound quality is top-notch, violence (not necessary, but still a nice feature) is plentiful and realistic, interactivity (also not necessary, but another nice feature) is fluent and smooth, and it doesn't have to be funny, but great jokes normally convince me to vote 5.

4 Vote: All-round good. One of the necessary characteristics may compromise, like a little worse on graphics, or storyline doesn't fit, or not very funny, etc - but still a very good piece.

3 Vote: Not bad, worth watching. The animation will be ok, but the characteristics will flaw pretty badly. For instance, the story could be slow, or bad graphics, or storyline could be confusing. Basically if one or two characteristics flaw badly, then a 3 should be voted, considering the effort put forth.

2 Vote: Worth the acknowledgement, but nothing special. All-round, every characteristics must flaw below-average, or just a few subjects should just fall WAY down, or even just if you can't see much effort put through it. A 2-vote shouldn't be submitted just because of a poor sound quality. One of the main characteristics, like graphics or storyline must be bad for a 2-vote. Vote 2 if you don't particularly like the animation, but it will be a benefit to others on NewGrounds.

1 Vote: Very bad, but still has a basic concept: The movie will be devoid of most good-quality graphics and sound, or storyline is very basic and poor. The humour can be pretty sick, but realise that there is at least 15% effort in it. If you feel that the animation is very crap, but you can see effort, vote 1.

0 Vote: Absolutely crap - Devoid of any good: Basically, the graphics must be very dull, basic or poorly drawn. There is no storyline - just pathetic concepts even those which differ from the title. The sound quality must be terrible, even deafening. Some 0-voted flashes just have only 1 or 2 frames that constantly loop, with no effort put forth. Absolutely dull humour and exceptionally sick jokes involving male and female genitals are nothing but bad, all bad. Vote 0 ONLY if everything is terrible, only if nothing is good or worth noticing.

In short (for the lazy):

Vote 5 if it's: Perfect. Nothing wrong.
Vote 4 if it's: Pretty good, and only a couple of niggly things.
Vote 3 if it's: Not bad, but quite a few flaws that are noticeable.
Vote 2 if it's: Ok, but sloping into crappiness.
Vote 1 if it's: Bad, but better than crap. Only just.
Vote 0 if it's: Completely crud, deserves to be blammed.

These are the guidelines which I use every time I vote on a flash. I find it very useful, actually.

Well i never use the 1 button, if you want to blam something, do it good!

Or else you get a better chance that the movie\game will stay on NG and you will not get a point:)

I only use 5 or 0 now,to make it a stronger vote.
