Yes, they must have some sort of semi-automated system for that. I don´t think they´d be updating it weekly if it was all done manually and took as long as the pentalist to update. I´m sure life and Afro would have better things to do than wasting their whole saturdays on doing updates.

I know almost everybody does that, but I´m not so good with Excel. How long did it take you on average to update the saviours and blammers list?

With Excel? Oh, not much time at all, at least not compared to my top 500 VP lists and pentalists. They are/were just top 50s, of course, though. So even shorter than your top 100 here.

Yeah, but how much time exactly? :p Updating this list usually takes about 1.5 hours, or 1 hour if I work really fast. If Excel really is that much faster then I guess it would be better to move the file to excel instead of using notepad.

Yeah, that´s indeed a bit of a problem. I can only hope those users will post here someday.

Which happens quite often in the Audio Reviewers List topic, luckily. There are tons of almost invisible users in the audio portal =/

But if all of us just do a bit of htat... it's less of a waste of time for each of us, yet could have far better results. I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for 700+ reviewers, and check if they're already on your updates.

If everybody did that, it´d be very nice. But I can´t expect everyone to do 'my job'.

Well, another pretty standard week for me. I'm keeping up with the pace of the recent slow weeks and it shows. Wasting my entire Saturday doing updates is pretty much what I did back in the ol' weekly updates of the VP list days, actually. #;-}> Then ShittyKitty came along and saved me some free time.

No, but a buncha people pitching in is how the listmaking community has worked for 5+ years on this forum. It's one of the many things that makes Wi/Ht? (and I suspect Flash and Programming) the great communities that they are, compared to the cesspool that is General, where everyone makes threads based on made-up sex parties they go to, and the like.

Ah yes.... that mark. I hope you realise that while reviewing 33 movies in 3 days to get back on this list, I realised that I COULD... if I wanted to... actually get to 1000 reviews fairly quickly.

I was working off a folder on my laptop with around 50 or so shortcuts to movies and games I wanted to review in the past few months. In the course of the past few weeks, I've added many more games and a few more movies to that folder, in fact I have 30 flash entries in my "to be reviewed" stack right now....

However, what I also have is about 600 or so flash entries' shortcuts in another folder over on my desktop computer.... were I to move that over to this computer and start working at it... boom, 1000 reviews and more.... super easy.

Yeah, so? The review I lost in the past week was not from this past month. It was an old movie getted deleted. Which is the reason for 90% of my deleted reviews, I'd estimate. It's pretty rare that a movie I JUST reviewed gets deleted right away when it's new and teh fresh.

Yeah, so? The review I lost in the past week was not from this past month. It was an old movie getted deleted. Which is the reason for 90% of my deleted reviews, I'd estimate. It's pretty rare that a movie I JUST reviewed gets deleted right away when it's new and teh fresh.

For me, most of my reviews that get deleted are usually flashes that I reviewed during the time I was reviewing a hell lot of flashes (i.e. October 2005 - May 2006).

Yeah, so why then did you act like you assumed KWAS should only be losing reviews if he had MADE more reviews lately?

Just like you, he reviewed a hell of a lot of flashes (10 times as much as you, most likely) in 2005-2007, that was his super-high period. So I'd assume a lot of his review deletions come from way back, 1+ year ago, etc. etc. Same as with you.

Alright, here´s the plan:

As you can see the activity was once again not that impressive this week. It does look a little bit better than the former weeks though, so I agree with Bahamut to do one more update next week. If most of the people are still going slow with barely any rank-changes, then I´ll start doing bi-weekly updates. (Probably what´s gonna happen...).

However, if that´s the case, I don´t know if I´m actually gonna post next weeks update though. I also have the audio reviewers list to update on friday which is currently updated bi-weekly as well. So if I just wait for one more week I only have to update one of the lists each week (and not 2 of them in one and 0 in the next). If I decide to do this, the next time you see an update will be on the 4th of May.

If next weeks update is quite a bit better than this weeks, I´ll do another update the week after. If that update is also better, then I´ll do another one the week after that. Then I might continue with doing weekly updates.

I´ll let you guys know what I´m gonna do next week.

Hm. I'd call a person with +36 reviews (that rune-hunter fellow), and a person with +33 reviews (that'd have been me), and a person with +30 reviews (Coop, I believe?).... quite active. that's +100 reviews from just the top 3 users that update!

Well, I want it to have only 10 people and as it goes in most official lists, if two people are tied they skip the next rank. It looked a bit silly last week though... =/

Alright, here´s the plan:

As you can see the activity was once again not that impressive this week. It does look a little bit better than the former weeks though, so I agree with Bahamut to do one more update next week. If most of the people are still going slow with barely any rank-changes, then I´ll start doing bi-weekly updates. (Probably what´s gonna happen...).

Wahoo! I am all for teh bi-weekly in that event.

However, if that´s the case, I don´t know if I´m actually gonna post next weeks update though. I also have the audio reviewers list to update on friday which is currently updated bi-weekly as well. So if I just wait for one more week I only have to update one of the lists each week (and not 2 of them in one and 0 in the next). If I decide to do this, the next time you see an update will be on the 4th of May.

Huh? You mean... you'd pull all the data next weekend, but if it's not that active, you won't bother posting an update, you'll wait 1 more week and then re-pull the data?

If next weeks update is quite a bit better than this weeks, I´ll do another update the week after. If that update is also better, then I´ll do another one the week after that. Then I might continue with doing weekly updates.

Well, there was a drop off after me down to +4... but all the way down to 10th it stayed at +2... so that's far superior to the past couple of weeks, when Auz had problems finding people to fill out the top 10 properly, right?

The review mod claimed I should have talked about the submission more when I did talk about the fucking submission, but also talked about anything related to the topic. Okay on the reviews I usually dont thank Auz for updating the smaller stat list. I will or might just check and see if I need to review so I dont drop out of the top 30. Well I guess I should go write some unhelpful reviews the next time.
