Well it had been two weeks. I just updated it on Sunday rather than Monday. When I got back to updating this list I already mentioned that I wasn't gonna use a set day for the updates. Just 'somewhere in that weekend and perhaps on Monday'. It would give me more freedom :)

Oh you mean like sum up the amount of reviews from everyone on the list? That shouldn't be a problem. It will just take a second or three to add that. I'll make sure it's on the next updates :)

Wow! Hadn't really noticed there were that many reviews written by just the top 100. But then again with XwaynecoltX accounting for almost 10% of the total it makes more sense.

I find it best not to worry about being banned. Just relax and review at your own pace. The only time bad reviews will start is if you start reviewing for the stats and not for the submission at hand.

Though I'm sure Coop or reverend will see your post here eventually, it'd better if you PM them (or any of the other review mods) instead if you think someone is breaking the rules.

And yeah, Ultor is well known for being a spammer. Considering his last review was from the 26th of January, he's probably banned at the moment. As soon as he gets off a ban he will instantly start spewing out tons of one-liners again.

Some people either can't or refuse to learn or simply have nothing better to do.

If you see somebody doing something like that it's best to PM a review mod rather than posting on the BBS. Although I was able to catch him after a few hours this time around, as you can see, he had been at it for some months prior to being stopped sometime in January (whoever caught him then probably didn't want to risk carpel tunnel deleting all of those reviews)

These kinds of issues pop up from time to time. Sometimes people will illegitimately arrive at the top ranks making tons of useless reviews but eventually we catch on and their stats are wiped clean. Just a matter of time really.

If you are really ambitious, you can feel free to put some scrutiny to anyone who seems suspicious. Take time to delve into their reviews. In the past people have tried to get one over on us by spewing multi-paragraph bullshit reviews that had little or nothing worthwhile to the authors while keeping at a pace that is faster than they could conceivably watch/listen to all that content. In the end we always catch them but we can't always be right on top of things if there are other more serious things going on with reviews like a new spat of chain letters or a new referral link website cropping up. If you notice somebody like this, PM a review mod or two to correlate what you have noticed and maybe something can be done - sometimes all it takes is a PM, other times it's a long ban or a permanent ban or a complete stat wipe.

Just noticed that somebody flagged a shit ton of ultor's older audio reviews.

That is not really a great idea if you value your whistle level.

When we look at flagged reviews we only see them one-at-a-time which is why we say to PM one of us if you see somebody trying to make tons and tons of useless reviews to get high in the rankings because to determine that we would need to look at all his reviews and a review mod may not catch on to that if his reviews start popping up in our queue out of context.

Hey guys! You know what I just noticed? Trying to wright semi-decent reviews multiple times in a row is hard. Now, I like reviewing, but whenever I try to up my count, I find my reviews sinking in quality the farther along I go. Whenever I go back and read them, I find that I'm babbling about some nonsensical bullshit, or sound like a complete moron barely above some of the normal reviewers we have on this site. When I post them, I thinkk they're good. When I go back and read them, I find that I did not help the author at all and just gave a four paragraph opinion on the game that can be paraphrased as "Good game!"

I'd actually appreciate any advice you can give me as to how I can write many consecutive reviews in a row, as well as general reviews I do occasionally, withought them degrading to random bullshit.

Well it may sound cliche, but it'd probably help if you find some more motivation to write them other than boosting your review count. Like writing them to help out the author and stuff like that.

Though it's always hard to keep up writing a lot of (good) reviews on a weekly basis. Perhaps it'd be good if you took it a bit easier and spread out your review writing more.
