FYI, what you hit was 1,500 BPs (blams and protects). Blams are just the killed flash, while protects and saves are used interchangeably from things that pass judgement.

We also differentiate between ranking up (what you just did to get a new rank badge and the VP bonus) and levelling up (gaining enough experience to earn a new level icon). It just makes it easier to understand what people are talking about.

They've been on the Full list since the 7th, one of many I found right before they ranked the EGP.

So here's the latest trick to "earn" TotW. In place since the Spambegone/ObsidianClock/Zen shit from last year is a fix which prevents a submission from earning the award if the .swf is modified from that which was originally submitted.

NOW they are modifying the parameters at which NG displays them to try to circumvent the fix. Instead of the normal size at which it played when it passed judgement, they've dropped it to a 10px by 10px and changed the name to "earn" 0 votes. It's possible (probable?) that it works, as the fake DtotheG who submitted the latter already has a TotW. Not that it matters, but I've e-mailed Wade on it.

It's not the animation that's at issue, it's that they are trying to circumvent the intent of the award. Rather than letting people vote on work of theirs as it deserves, they try to influence people to "earn" TotW with all these little tricks and gimmicks. It's just more of the same old bullshit of people taking as much advantage of any system as possible. When they get caught at it they throw hissy fits about how they are being persecuted.

First off, I'm not that smart. Secondly, as the age old male adage goes, "it's not the lenght of the wand, it's the magic in the stick." Yeah but it's not like they're trying to cheat for weekly 1st, review crew pick, or underdog. They are trying to cheat for an award that says, "you are a douchbag for submitting this". That's why I say it's no big deal.
