During my packing, I managed to find the last copy of this and I finally managed to post the last of the "Laws" in my profile. I've had this for ~20 years now, from back when I moved into my first apartment and somehow this little gem managed to keep making the trip. I'm sure the list is quite short of those who even saw part of it, so here they are:

Murphy's Laws of Combat

1. If the enemy is in range, so are you.
2. Incoming fire has the right of way.
3. Don't look conspicuous, it draws fire.
4. There is always a way.
5. The easy way is always mined.
6. Try to look unimportant, they may be low on ammo.
7. Professionals are predicatable, it's the amateurs who are dangerous.
8. The enemy invariably attacks on two occasions:
a. When you are ready for them.
b. When you are not ready for them.
9. Teamwork is essential, it gives them someone else to shoot at.
10. If you can't remember, then the claymore is pointed at you.
11. The enemy diversion you have been ignoring will be the main attack.
12. A "sucking chest wound" is nature's way of telling you to slow down.
13. If your attack is going well, you have walked into an ambush.
14. Never draw fire, it irritates everyone around you.
15. Anything you do can get you shot, including nothing.
16. Make it tough for the enemy to get in and you won't be able to get out.
17. Never share a foxhole with anyone braver than yourself.
18. If you're short of everything but the enemy, you're in a combat zone.
19. When you have secured an area, don't forget to tell the enemy.

And my absolute personal favorite

20. Never forget that your weapon is made by the lowest bidder.

So yeah, I've been doing beautifully lately. I broke 10,000 Blams earlier today and I also managed to break 16,000 blam/protect points as well. I managed to catch a screenshot of the former too, as you can see right here below. You know what's kind of funny though? This is just a weird fact, and it'll probably make me look more like a "noob" than ever before, but this screenshot is actually the very first screenshot that I figured out how to do all by myself. Before this, I always just got other people to do my screenshot work for me. But now, I think I have it all figured out. It's stupid, I know, but I'm pretty damn proud of this thing. So, without further ado, my screenshot. Ain't it sweet?

Thanks much. I've been in fixit-mode lately and don't see that ending any time soon. Aiming for rank, trying to catch alex on the top 50 list (and keep him from catching me on the Blam list) has me a lil extra motivated. Heck, I even voted to blam an illwillpress movie today and I never do that.

I was thinking we could all make a uitimate ng FAQ site/flash . Some thing like newgrundlings faq's but more orginised that the n00bs don't have to look in like 5 threads, and with more info and more uptodate becouse giving the n00bs the links to the old faq's of newgrundling confuses some becouse it had things in it that aren't on ng any more. Well? is this a good idea, bad idea or don't any one cares? And if you think it's a good idea would you hlep make parts of it?

I'm thinking a site would be a better idea - unless we can collar someone who's good with Flash (like I'm not). Also with a site you can keep updating it and it'll load quicker. I was thinking about suggesting something similar about a month ago actually. Not sure what precisely I could help with, but I'd certainly do something.

How about we make it so it not only informs them, but is a damn solid flash.

Where we could show what to do and what not to do, and we could show some guy doing the wrong thing and something bad happens to him, and then show someone do the right thing, and something good happens.

Pixy has a couple, and I think is working on a third, flash FAQs. Now all I need to do is convince him to correct the errors ... Hrmm, maybe if I threaten to throw 0s at them everyday until he does he'll get motivated.

Best person to talk to about setting a site like that up would be TheJoe, as he has a good chunk of what you're talking about posted on his website. What he's "missing" is stuff from various FAQs people have written, that he likely will simply refer people to directly rather than posting at his site. As to a "Do/Don't" demo flash, a link to the PID would suffice.
