Thank you gfoxcook for telling me that. I thought I would be depositing for a long time only to be a level 24 forever. I hope they add some more levels because that 28,000+ EXP points to last (I hope it's the last one) secret is a bit ridicious (over 7 years?!!) and the gaps between levels will be too much for new users.
More levels would be nice, yes.
Anyway, the last secret used to be around 10,000 exp, but they moved it up 2 or 3 times... presumably because so many people were crossing over teh 10k exp mark. I think 20k would have been a better place to put it, IMO, than 30k, but oh well.
as for the gaps, they're fast approaching 700 exp now. By the time they get to 1000 exp apart, then yes... it will be time for SOME sort of change to the system. Or not.

Hehe, little mistake there :)
Biteme just got the baseball bat ;)
Er... maybe I was thinking of another recently turned level 14, then? Anywho, sorry to whoever I left out, but it's really a shitty icon, so... congrats aren't really that in order anyway. #;-}>

I think humantarget had access to it at one stage, when the requirement was much lower. The amount of times they have changed the exp requirement is incredible.
more than just him.

8.2 years. Ridiculous indeed.
no kidding. They might as well have made it 36,500 so it'd take an even 10 years of work to get to it. O_o

Yeah, Lost In Translation is a great film. There's still a few parts that I have yet to fully understand (something involving a toy machine gun and a bunch of drunk Japanese guys) but hey, the movie's kind of designed to be weird. Kind of dreamlike; somnambulistic, if you will. Which makes sense, considering the fact that both Murray and Johansson play characters trapped in a state of perpetual insomnia throughout almost the entire film. It's just not exactly a feel-good flick. Chances are, after watching it, you'll come out a little depressed. It's not exactly a bad thing though. I mean, it could end with a cliche, but this is one of the most original films that I've seen in a while. That, and I'm a fan of Johansson's work, so I suppose that added to the experience. That having been said, I just rented Ghost World to see tomorrow afternoon. Guess who's in it. Yep, Scarlett Johansson. It's just a phase though. I went through the exact same thing with Kate Beckinsale and Liv Tyler. Not to mention about a hundred other attractive actresses.
They're BOTH insomniacs? How does that work? Sheer coincidence or... they joined a "gaijin in Japan with insomnia!" support group or something? O_o
anyway, you never commented on Rushmore or Groundhog Day. Seen either? You should, if you likes teh Bill Murray. Rushmore was filmed in several neighborhoods nearby where I live here in Houston, too. And it is teh nifty funny movie. I wouldn't put it in my 3 movie list in my profile if it wasn't! #;-}>

Congrats, man. I'm keepin' track of you for the top 50 blam and saves lists. You should make it someday.
BTW, I hit EG Praporshchik and level 12 within 24 hours of each other back in May 2003. #;-}>

The whole forum's been quiet to be honest, not just today but over the past week it's just seemed to be lacking in many posts. Perhaps that's something to do with there being four list updates on the 1st and nothing since then, or something else. Dunno really.
Methinks it's because teh postwar between Brainy, Rebel40000, and myself has pretty much ended. #;-}>
