MWAHAHAHA! I was wondering if you'd forgotten Clock Day, you seemed awfully absent while I was on the portal and on the forums 2 or 3 times that day. I was hoping to be on more, I missed so many saves on the big flashes of the day from the actual crew and all. Got about 75 saves, way down from the 150 or so I got in 2019 (albeit some were from the 16th+17th that time, I went on a 3 day voting binge!).
Sadly the date has slipped my mind half of the time in recent years. Should try and have a thought for next year for 20 years of B but it's festival season then and I need a good metal camping weekend after losing out this year.
I still remember very well. Unfortunately I'm not #42 anymore but rather found my way in the top 40 now. However, once I reach #36 I'll be sure to give you a little tag. 😁
Fucking A!
I saw your post in the old users intro thread, btw, and when you mentioned your spot in the top exp list... oh, and also your post on your profile, saw it there, too... I looked in yer profile stat page itself and... you're like 18000 exp ahead of me now? INSANITY! ;D
Mad times. Ages ago I had seen many big names who I never expected to surpass in EXP but ended up doing so further down the line. You were one of the very few I felt bad to overtake. 😂
I'm amazed I'm even at around #150 with all my inactivity.
Damn!! All the way down there?
I timed badly there. However, I always know you'll come around next Clock Day. As for Madness Day, perhaps stick it in your calendar. 😉 I'll try and remember when that comes up cause it's potentially a bonus EXP period.
Eh, I ain't gonna go to any effort to remember. I have no problem remembering to come back here every August 15th. I'll either remember for Sept 22nd or not. But hey, here I am 11 days after Clock Day just dropping by to check on replies. I haven't even hit the portal. should.
You reappeared much sooner than expected so there's that. Only thing I'm doing on 22nd September is working so that'll be a quick pop in that day.
need moar saves! ;D
Yes you do. Still gotta get that 36k after slowly working towards it in.... how long now? 😜 At least I wrapped up my business over a decade ago
But if Clock Day is the next time you reply, I'm gonna make this a time capsule and say I hope Covid packed its bags, fucked off and stopped disrupting fucking everything!
After 18 months straight? Hope so! But we'll see! o_o
It had fucking better. Lost enough great plans this year, another whole year of plans lost would really fucking suck. 12 months is a lot of time so where we're at by then who knows. 🤷♂️
Jeez, hope you're alright man. For both parts, that is. I know how vast Covid has been in America so I have thought to myself those I know over there I hope are staying safe.
Aye. I just covered more of the aftermath and financial crap from it in a reply to an iscrulz reply in my profile news post, btw, so I won't repeat all that junk here.
Damn, that's some detail on recalling what had happened. Just glad you made it out fine for the most part. Car accidents are one of the main things that kinda scares me from driving at some point. I know, I'm 30 and still don't drive but with current circumstances, not only can I do without one just fine, it's just way too fucking expensive in terms of driving lessons and then of course getting myself a car. If I get myself on a better wage and have gotten a house, we'll see then.
Very very thankful I had dropped her off and she wasn't still in the car, above all else.
Thank goodness for that part at the very least after all of that.
Gigs, eh? I think I saw you say "sessions" either in that other thread or on your profile newspost or whatnot. You in a band, man?
I wish. Session just meant drinking with friends. I have a few dumb but fun ideas for a few songs, though. Back in March I had picked up a guitar. I wanted to get one for a while but with lockdown being imminent, I figured to act on and get it while I could as I had no idea how delivery services were gonna be affected by Covid. I ended up purchasing one the day Boris announced lockdown so felt lucky I was still able to get it delivered to work two days after.
Sadly, I haven't gotten quite far with learning to play it. Was making some decent basic progress but then FFVII Remake happened (my second panic buy as that game got an early release in Europe) and that caused a chain reaction of playing numerous FF games back to back followed by Xenoblade on the Switch. All of that game time took me up until the day lockdown was over to me (i.e. the reopening of pubs).
In any case, I've got myself a guitar at home and it can be for show. It's there to be played at any time while I'm home. Incase you're wondering, this was what I picked up. A Jackson Snow White. Set me back around £120 but I say it's a fine first purchase.
But what I meant with gigs on that post was bands to see live. Bloodstock aside, I was meant to see Helloween in October and Igorrr back in April. You'll have heard the name Helloween many many times from myself back in the old days but Igorrr was a band that caught my attention after hearing songs from their recent album. They have a perculiar style mixing black and death metal with classical, beatcore and whatever else they please to mix with. This song is an example of what they're like:

I'm of the mobile crowd these days. It's just way easier to get NG on my phone whenever I'm catching up on here. Makes for easier depositing as well. Since moving out to the flat, my laptop usage plummeted. I still use it, mind you but it's not an every day use like it used to be. Unless it's games, most things are way more convenient to use by other means. Take YouTube for example. Can just throw it on my smart TV or Xbox or just watch videos through my phone.
I wonder if Tom Fulp has done any surveys Steam-style about that.
Ahhh Steam, that was how I had a lot of contact with you outside NG but these days most of my gaming is now on the Xbox One. I was never an Xbox player up until two years back when a really sweet contract deal popped up. Basically got a new phone and for an extra £3 a month on top of the phone payment for a three year period, an Xbox One S was mine to keep. 😁
Well this was a pleasant classic gfox-style convo in the LUL!
