It should, yeah. I remember wondering the same thing a few years back.
If you start a re-occurring subscription before the year is over it seems the extra days get cut off though. Learned that more recently. Not that it matters when it never ends. No idea if they've changed the system to make it that way for all, but a few years ago it definitely worked like you assume it does with the regular kind.
At some point recently I reached level 58. Not too much longer now! I do miss the text saying how many points are needed to level up after your daily deposit.

I miss a lot of level-up-related things with the old designs. Deposit images and what-not. It's still great but IMO they're really not making the most of the gamification potential here. It used to be more.

Guessing it might dissuade some users from continuing to grind, but I do agree. Would be great if all that goes away could simply be archived too. Not count towards a ranking, but at least still be there. No need for removals to be so finite.
