Yikes! But I get what you mean now. But as Tom said in the forums, the campain seems to be working pretty good right now.
Indeed. I just hope to keep packing on the content and advertising NG. If it's good for the site, it's good for me.
Damn! Good memory you have there though!
Haha, good thing you called me on it or I would have forgotten a long time ago. I remember we had the Clock Crew mostly because of Clock Day. Does that still happen any more?
I don't think that Eagle's posts were deleated, at least not the ones from NG's BBS. If that's what you were talking about.
They haven't. You could probably google "Barracks Under Fire" and "NG BBS"
It is, yes. And being smartphone friendly obviously is the most important aspect here. I don't know if NG could replace YouTube, but if they could at least keep up with the technologies, then it would be a great start.
Yeah. I'm not saying we should replace YouTube. It's great advertising. We just need to change our model a little. Tom says he's looking at making every player HTML5 compatible and apps for phones and consoles, etc. Did you know NG has a Roku app?
These portals are indeed very important aspects of what makes Newgrounds great, yes. But NG seems to not be very well-known these days. I've tried sharing NG stuff on Facebook, and nobody seems to even watch the flash animations I share. But when I share newspaper links or music links I get more people to watch, read or listen to what I shared :/
You've just got to hashtag everything right. I find Google+ is actually great for sharing to communities who actually care about your content. And fb looks better when you have pages you manage, or post to pages. Messaging can also be very effective. I have more luck if I talk to people about NG in person. Several people I know knew of it but were scared to join, lol. We must not be as welcoming as we thought.
True. But didn't they stop selling merch because of lack of funds? Like... they had to make some cuts somewhere.
I believe that's the case. Maybe we users could pick up where they left off, if Tom's okay with that. I'd be fine with making a few T-shirts and selling them on Ebay, then holding up a yearly/monthly supporter bill, depending on if I made enough to cover the costs, etc.
On another note, sorry for the double post if this is one. On topic of levels, I'm expecting to hit Praporschik and level up this month.
