Don't know if this scientific breakthrough has reached the continent yet, but we already have a container that allows you to keep your booze away from the elements. We call them bottles and us Brits are so ingenious that we also see the booze in them ;)
Thus I'm back to square 1, a useless present

Wait! What is this? WITCHCRAFT? You shall burn in hell!

Wouldn't you think that drinking from a stein is more convenient than drinking from a bottle? Especially if the bottle wasn't even designed to drink from (compare beer bottles and a bottle of Southern Comfort. It's easier to drink from a beer bottle ;) ).
Also, it's so damn hard to get the ice cubes into the bottle. :(

I try not to post here too often since I don't have anything to add beyond my own milestones, but I suppose we're all entitled to a little bragging, eh? Happy new year to you all, may it hold many new levels for you.
See my news post with medal hunting links and tools. I made a program NGMedals that finds your statistics and unearned medals.
There is also a browser script.

Sounds good! My christmas was pretty much nonexistent; just stayed home and hung out. I'm not really a person who's crazy about the holidays and there's no kids around or anything, so it's pretty dull around here. :P

Should have realized this sooner, I have written 150 movie reviews! That's nothing compared to someone like Ericho but still it's a personal accomplishment for me.

I tend to find myself divided over how they changed the level system. As much as I prefer the static settings for the levels I will admit that the charm of the last level has dwindled, particularly when we'll soon have the whole top 50 being at maximum level. There'll be around 70-80 users at level 60 by the time I get there.

Not too hard to figure out without it. When I think WI/HT?, I think Bahamut. Real name usernames best usernames. reverend needs to jump on the bandwagon.

Not a fan of kids myself. I'm a bit of a grumpy old man before my time so I find almost everything kids do to be incredibly annoying. (Unless they're being quiet and well-behaved.) :D
Sure, why not. I'm mad I tell you. Mad! Just kidding, thanking myself would be pretty redundant, don't you think?
Yes, I think congratulating and thanking yourself is redundant. :P

Happy 2014 to everyone! I had a much better new year celebration than the last few. Was just at the local rock bar and they were open until 6 in the morning. No problems occurred and it was an enjoyable night throughout. Hopefully starting the new year with a great celebration will mean a much better year for me.
2013 certainly had its ups and downs for me. It looked promising at first but it wasn't long until it gave me a huge slap on the face. I lost some acquaintances that I wish I didn't lose but on the other hand I have met a lot of fantastic people this year so they more than make up for the losses that I had. I'd like to see that the better part of 2013 will guide me through 2014.
Now that the Christmas and new year holidays are pretty much over, I can soon resume exercising which I have missed doing for the last few weeks. I got the appropriate gymwear now so I'm all good with going to the gym or having a walk around somewhere. No more long walks with my boots which is a relief. For the whole of this year I'd like to see that I can lose a lot of weight to get me down to a reasonable size. There was some progress with weight loss last year due to myself walking into town more often but this is the year where I need to step it up a bit.
Anything else to think of for 2014? I'm not going to build my hopes up just yet but I did have one girl last night who enjoyed my company quite a bit and did ask if I was going to be at the same place on Friday so I have a reason to go there then even if the night will be dead.

I generally just use my real name for internet usernames nowadays or at least have some variant with the name Murray. I've grown out of using the name Bahamut but for historical reasons on the site that name is still connected to my account. I only go by two names now and they are either Andy or Murray and either is good for me.

Don't worry, I do have a few big milestones to get this year, although it probably won't be as special as what 2013 offered for me. Getting to the top 100 was one of my biggest goals and now that I've reached it, my next focus is the top 50 but that's a long way off so the next major milestone for me is level 60.
What I can expect to do for stats milestones in 2014 is getting all the way to level 59 and I'll have over 37,000 EXP so there's some nice stuff to look forward to for level and EXP milestones. As for ranks, I'm hoping I can reach as far as the top 80 but everything is dependable. Top 90 should be a safe bet for somewhere around Easter. Anything else, the most that I might be doing is getting some medals. I would like to get over 10,000 medals someday but I'm a long way off to that and earning them isn't high on my hobby list.
Nice! I never even thought of trying that. :(At 1/1/14 12:10 AM, IvanTuroc wrote:likewise Haggard; and first deposit of the year
I remember getting the first deposit for 2010, thus making the very first deposit of this decade. :P

Heh, I lost about 2kg since I started working at a new place (I was over 90kg for a long time, now I'm at <89kg). I guess the main reason for that weight loss is that there aren't that many places to have something to eat during your lunch break. At the old place the area was full of restaurants/snack bars and my co-workers and I would have lunch together. And in the evening I also would have lunch together with my wife.
Now I just bring my own food (mostly just a sandwich), so I eat a lot less calories and a lot less carbs.
Also, I cycle to the nearest train station every morning (at least when it's warm enough to cycle...). It's not much but that way I do cycle about 6km each day.
I only go by two names now and they are either Andy or Murray and either is good for me.
Also, you can always say that you are just so much into tennis that you named your account after that scotsman. ;)
A truly prophetic sig...
