I remember that this was around the time when RohantheBarbarian first showed up around here. Now he's level 42 whereas I'm level 54. He's one of the few NG regulars who I speak to a lot and that says a lot considering my activity on here has taken quite a dip.

Hot damn, this epic post fit into one post.

And now, because it wouldn't fit, I've got a little more news:

Some of the reasons I've been away for so long have been down to the passing of my grandfather, at the age of 91. He lived a good life and I had a lot of soul searching to do, before I stepped up to the plate and gave a eulogy at his funeral, last Tuesday. It was the thing I needed to do to honour a great man, as only I could.

Secondly, yesterday I was involved in a collision. Yes, I should call it an accident, but the police don't like that, as it implies that no-one is at fault. I'm not sure, so I won't muddy the waters at present.

Long story short, the Focus has probably had it. I've got 5 shifts at work then a week off, so I'll have to work on getting a new motor. Probably something that I should have already started, but at the moment, the models in my view are leaning towards a newer Ford Focus, an Audi A3, Citroen C4 or Seat Leon. At least something that will save me money on fuel over the near future, with a long drive to work every morning.

So, quick update on life:

1. I'm unemployed because the company I was working for simply didn't like me. This sadly results in seeing the fascists at the Job Centre.
2. I'm seeing Wintersun live on Wednesday. This shall be good, particularly when I've got a Tumblr user or two joining me and my friend for the show.
3. In addition to Wintersun, I'll also be seeing Iron Maiden in London. Additional points for this day for meeting up with someone during the daytime who I quite like. :)

Of course, that does narrow down the list by a huge margin but other times I'll just complain that there aren't enough girls with the right personality. However, I did ask one girl out over on Tumblr and she's keen on meeting up with me in London next month. Although, the way I approached it may have been vague so either it's a first date or a hangout. I can't say for sure, though but a hangout is the safer idea. All I can really do is see how things go.
