Just stopping by to say that I've passed 78,000 Saves
I seriously thought that I'd have 30,000 Blams by this stage. That's annoying that I still need 143 more...
Coop feels more than a mere twinge in his bad foot this morning. Congratulations to:

Yes and when we have the Olympics in North Korea, we will have a new Olympic sport - goose-stepping :P
I like the "original" version (without mentioning the two olympic medals) better, to be honest. Also, "Three world cups and three european cups, Do-dah! Do-dah!" sounds like shit as well. Well it's a somewhat sombre day for me. My father passed away this morning from Bowel Cancer. I'm kind of in shock at the moment, since only 3 weeks ago the family were told he wouldn't make it to the end of the year. So this came very suddenly. I don't really know how to feel because I haven't spoken to either of my parents for many years (a lingering family feud, I wont go into the details). But ever since my daughter told me the news, I feel like I'm having an outer body experience or something akin to one. I just can't seem to get my shit together at the moment. I'm yet to cry or grieve in any way but something definitely feels missing. Sorry for the rant, like I said, I'm just not all here right now.

We won the Wednesday League 10Ten competition, last Tuesday night (fixtures got shunted around with all of the rain that we have had) and my Sunday team is still to register a victory in a meaningful game.At 8/2/12 04:27 AM, Coop wrote: Tired and sore, but a cup champion, Coop congratulates:So, you won't get the title for "worst captain"?
Well, good luck with that.
Yes - brands officially endorsed by the state.Do they even HAVE brands in North Korea? At 7/31/12 01:20 PM, Haggard wrote:The IOC wouldn't risk damaging the brand - official Olympic partners, such as Coca-Cola and McDonalds wouldn't be allowed to sponsor events, as local brands would need to take precedence. At 7/31/12 04:44 AM, Coop wrote: Yes and when we have the Olympics in North Korea, we will have a new Olympic sport - goose-stepping :PI thought it was only the Youth Olympics? So, kind of like how it was in the GDR.
Gold medals are harder to earn than Silver or Bronze, obviously. Perhaps they should weight it, with 5 points for Gold, 3 for Silver and one for Bronze. Would that affect it?Now it's 4 golds, that means Team GB is better than Team Germany in the medal table (even though I never understood why it's always sorted for gold medals and not total medals).A few more medals for the german team today. We are on a roll! And two Golds for team GB at last :) I think that we know who BBC Sports personality of the year 2012 will be now. Step forward, Bradley Wiggins.
Well, now team Germany has 5 golds, so at least we are in front of North Korea now. But South Korea has like 7 gold medals, it will be hard to beat them, I guess.
Also: Earning 17 medals is obiously harder than earning "only" 5 medals.

I know how you feel. When one of my aunts died a few years ago, I kind of felt how you describe it right now. We never where too close, but she's a member of the family... and I was between feeling nothing and feeling sad for quite some time after her death.

That's exactly how I would describe it (between nothing and sad). It's a crazy feeling for sure. I was having a quick read up about grieving and it's apparently fairly normal, even when you're not as close as you think, to the person who passed away. It's just so strange though. I want the feeling to go away and soon.
Another one that's a little late, but I did achieve 108,000 B/P
I hope I can hit 30,000 Blams soon...
I have at least one medal from 1,000 different games.
You passed 16,000 Blams. Impressive!
You entered the top 900 in Experience Points. Outstanding!
Coop keeps an eye on the ladies Heptathlon, while congratulating:
DoctorStrongbad: Medals from 1,000 Different Games
Martin: 56,000 B/P
Pokemonpoeguygcn: 16,000 Blams; Top 900 Experienced
Thank you to:

We all do what we can and no-one can tell anyone how to grieve, just help them along through it.

Just a friendly tomorrow. Then it's a week off (possibly another friendly) and then 3 more matches to try and salvage the season. I'd like to win 2 of 3, but that seems a little rich.

I would assume so, only a little more harsh, from what I've heard.
That said, PRK have won three golds for Weightlifting, plus one for Judo.

It'll even out - as we go, the teams with relatively few medals will clump together at the base of the table, while nations like the US, China, GB Germany, France, Australia and South Korea will make their moves toward the top.
Thanks for voting, Auz! Your experience has been automatically deposited!
With that vote, you now have 27,000 experience points. You need 750 more to get to Level 51. The next Grounds Gold day begins in 10 hours, 3 minutes, and 48 seconds.
Neat.
