That rings a bell.
It should do - these were the first words spoken by Philip J. Fry in Futurama. Space Pilot 3000 was the episode name.

Oh. I don't watch Futurama too often so you where lucky with this one. Also, I'm not too good with english quotes as I watch most movies/series in german.

My favorite ending was where there where policemen grabbing the one talking by the shoulder, and then another policeman grabbed the shoulder of the previous one and so on...
It sounds liek the goons climbing a really tall wall, when 1 puts 2 on his shoulders, 3 climbs on top of them, then 4 does the same. Now 1 climbs up the other three and stands on 4's shoulders and so forth, so they all end up over the wall.

Hm, I don't remember that one. But I still have some episodes to watch!

Yeah, it may be an error with the mainboard, but it could be some other weird things as well. Those kind of errors are very hard to locate.

If this isn't something the computer shop nearby can do, I may have to get a brand new laptop which would suck since if I had another year of warranty for the laptop, I could easily take it the shop I got it from and I wouldn't have to spend a couple of hundreds of quid just for a new laptop. I do have more than enough money for another laptop, it's a matter of commitment to spend that much just three years after getting this one.

It sure does suck, especially if the laptop still is in good condition otherwise. But locating and fixing the error could cost more than to buy a new one. :/
Also, I'd rather go for a desktop PC :P

Now we have this which neither of us can debate about?

We need to find other things to argue about!

On the other hand, we may finally get somewhere with Manowar... This is the end of Wi/Ht? as we know it.
This is a very scary thought.
This Friday, you will hear the recap.

Is this just a coincidence that I at first read "crap" instead of "recap"?

If you "rub it in" because of Joey DeMaio, that isn't entirely new since I knew he was an oddball beforehand. The only ones that find him sane are fanboys that would take orders from a fucking roadie.
Which just proves once more: Fanboys fucking suck!
Damn straight! It doesn't matter what the fanbase is for, those lunatics are always bad. However, some are far beyond pathetic.

Sometimes they can be funny (as in so stupid all you can do is laugh), but most of the time they are annoying. Especially if two fanboys argue about their fanboyism.

It's pronounced a bit like "Olive" just with an "r" at the end. Anyway, most people with the name "Oliver" are just called "Olli" anyways.

Yeah, I think the football commentators just mispronounced it often. Maybe because they thought Olivier sounds more German. They were also pretty inconsistent about Suarez (who now plays at Liverpool). The pronounciation went from SuArez to SUarez and back again and I still don't know what the right one is after watching him for two or three years.

It's amazing how effective random button-mashing can be...

I'm currently playing Uncharted 3 and absolutely loving it. Hope you're able to get hold of #2 at some point.
I really hope so myself. I'd like to see where the series goes next. If I can't pick it up soon enough, I have COD4, Bioshock 2 and FFXIII to go through. Hey, looks like I might actually need more PS3 games for once, haha. I think those three should keep me good by Christmas but if not, I'll nostalgia some more with the PS1.

I keep meaning to go back to FFXIII - I enjoyed it whilst playing it and then got distracted by all the sidequests so never completed it. I think that's next on my list to play. Unless they release Diablo III any time soon...

I've found one fault to the laptop. It seems to not like Firefox at all. Tried using that only and found the laptop to lock up three times within half an hour. Stopped using it last night and I've been fine since. I won't say I'm 100% good for now but I'm happy to find a solution to keep it more stable for the time being.

Not only that, I could use it in my sister's bedroom but it'll be awkward when she's up here. The only other place is out in the conservatory but that room doesn't give you any privacy so I'm stuck with using a laptop.

The only film I've seen that was moderately close to predicting the future is 2001: A Space Odyssey. Okay, we're not quite able to go as far as Jupiter yet and AI wasn't as advanced at the time, but we have a space station, we've been on the moon and I think the space suits, spacecraft equipment and board computers pretty closely resemble what we have now (and had 10 years ago). The film was made in 1968, just before men took their first steps on the moon, so this is a pretty impressive job if you ask me.

I would make a bet that we will still be able to see the first man landing on Mars in our lifetime. Whether we will have those Star Trek like spaceships by then, I doubt it :p

What, so we could end up with another Berlusconi running Italy? Mama mia!
Well he's been making a clown out of himself for three election periods now? Up until recently the Italian people loved him apparently, so who knows? I reckon they're crazy enough to elect his son as well in 40-50 years from now.

All of this means that the next series of Have I Got News For You won't be nearly as funny, because Ian Hislop, the one team captain won't be going "It's Silvio", to most questions, regarding Italian financial policies.

Well, we moved house 16 years ago, and I don't think we watched it since then. It's got to be at least 18 years for me. I'm much better with Aladin, which I can quote from start to finish.

Come back to Opera. We will treat you well.

Opera can suck a dick as well. I'm going to stick to Chrome and Chrome only.

You were talking to Coop about Futurama. Can I join in?
Oh my, yes!

Well, Futurama rocks!

Now I'm glaring at Firefox.
I couldn't glare at myself - I turned up an hour early for the dentist and had to kill the time, to get sorted properly. Oh well, I could have turned up and hour late and missed my appointment.

I've not been to a dentist in eight years now. Uhhh, I think I've told you about my long absence from the dentist before.

Hey, you still come to the site despite zero activity on the BBS for years now. At least you find some time to collect some B/P. As for catching up on those pages, you realise that's more than what gfox has to do, right? We all make fun of him for being so far behind.

Now that sounds like a film that was ahead of its time. To tell you the truth, I have not watched 2001.

I would make a bet that we will still be able to see the first man landing on Mars in our lifetime. Whether we will have those Star Trek like spaceships by then, I doubt it :p

Finding themselves to get one man on Mars is a huge step up.

I probably still have it on VHS somewhere. That's one film my cousin could watch in a few years time. As for the Master Sword reference, only if it's level 51.

I have never actually :(

And I find level 51 resembling the Master Sword much more, so I'll probably make the reference once I get there.

Lol. Yeah he's been the target plenty of times in the Dutch version of that show as well, and not only in Have I Got News For You. I found it hilarious that the Rolling Stone Magazine crowned him "Rockstar of the Year" a couple of years back.

I have to say that the film is quite slow and a bit surreal which doesn't make it an easy watch.

"A giant leap for mankind" surely. I heard they might have invented a rocket that will reduce the travel time to a measily 39 days, which is a very doable voyage with modern technology.

Football commentators suck when it comes to the right pronouncation of names. There's a brazilian guy playing in the Bundesliga with the name "Grafite" (yes, as in "graphite") and he constantly was called "grafitsssshhhhhh", which just sounds silly.
Also I think, Suarez should be pronounced "SUaresh".

Sometimes I feel that I should watch things like Futurama in German, it would be funny to hear the different voices, that the dubbing people use.

There you go.
(Not so) interesting fact: That green slimy monster right at the beginning has the same voice as Chief Wiggum, lol.

That's the Goon Show, not Monty Python.

Oh. :(

Yeah, it may be an error with the mainboard, but it could be some other weird things as well. Those kind of errors are very hard to locate.
Heh, I found one problem. Sucks how I can't use Firefox now since I was using that for secondary accounts on Facebook and Newgrounds.

Firefox sucks! :O

Also, I'd rather go for a desktop PC :P
Read my response to Odyssic and you'll understand.

No room is no excuse! :P

Now we have this which neither of us can debate about?
We need to find other things to argue about!

I'm afraid that's a topic I can't say anything about. I don't watch that show!

I need some examples.

I don't have any at hand right now. :(
