I still enjoy Toxicity a lot. Self-titled is worth getting for sure.

I've heard a few tracks off it, just never got around to getting the album itself.

Mind you, this week appears to be quite musical - 112 tracks have found their way onto my iTunes Library and I'll be getting a copy of the Discovery Boxed Set later this week :D

American Anthems II and 4 Beatles CDs which I'd never borrowed from Dad before... strange.

Spoony doesn't like anything, nah but seriously, what you said. Jim is a pretty big game reviewer, and Nintendo actually send him games to review.

Haha, his latest Jimquisition had him saying "Fuck you Sony, fuck you Nintendo and FUCK YOU EA!" It's OK, he'll still get their games to review. I look forward to when I receive some promos for album releases and I give them bad reviews because I didn't enjoy them. Chances are they won't speak to me again after it. :P

Were that my money would allow it - I am struggling to make financial ends meet before the January meet in Manchester, so I'm still a maybe on that front.
See above. Maybe the place of the potential meet up has to be moved to Liverpool.
There's not much in it - a return from Worcester to Liverpool against a return Worcester to Manchester. You're talking a train to Birmingham and either a coach or a train onwards.

For me it would be cheaper if the meet up would happen in Manchester (duh!), but if Bahamut can't make it that would be a pity.

Also - on a totaly unrelated sidenote - I still think it's hilarious how "Worcester" is pronounced "Wuuster". It's like writing "ghoti" and saying "It's pronounced 'fish'".

Well I haven't seen the match because I don't care much for the friendlies to be honest (matches are usually boring as hell). But from what I heard Germany fully deserved the victory. Doug Walker is terrible these days. Did you see Suburban Knights? My god, the shit factor that film exceeded Seltzerberg. Couldn't even stand watching his videos since and now he's on a heavier decline with heavily repeating his old meme-like jokes over and over again and now starting to steal jokes from the internet or blindly throwing in clips. When you have three episodes running with at least one Monty Python clip thrown in (as great as it is), that's when you should start freshening up your show a bit. At this point there shouldn't even be anything for his NC videos to review.

I didn't watch Suburban Knights, no. I was interested, but I just never got to watching it and forgot about it.

Anyway, I remember most of his older videos were pretty good and well watchable. He had decent opinions on things and occasionally he had some good jokes.

I also still like Spoony's main videos, but he hasn't really done anything in a while. I'm still waiting for the next FFX-II episode.
He was meant to get something else out according to his Twitter. He seems to do fine with the vlogs but I don't watch them since I don't need him to go on for an hour about one film. That's another reason why I stopped watching NC and Linkara since they couldn't justify 30 minutes of reviewing one thing.

Well he did a one and a half hour review of Twilight: Breaking Down recently (together with Linkara and JewWario live in video chat), which was waaaay too long in my opinion. I did actually sit through the whole thing (not in one sit though) because it was pretty funny. But I really hope he isn't going to make this standard, because in that amount of the time I'd rather go watch the film myself instead.

I just wish he would cut back to 15-20 minutes again. That's an okay sit for the viewers and provides him more than enough time to express his thoughts. He doesn't need to cover every single minute of the film.

Never heard of Jim Sterling, I think...?
He's a review editor for Destructoid and does weekly videos for his Jimquisition series. It's like my gaming rants but better. His videos are usually around 5 minutes so it's all within decent timing. Well, he can't have them for long considering he has a lot to do on Destructoid as well.

Oh I see. Well if it's only 5 minutes I might as well watch a few. Any recommendations?

And did they also add the ending with Saruman taking over the Shire and then Frodo and co. come to save the day? That would've been an hilarious ending to the trilogy :p
It was a little more than that. :P

An additional 15 endings? :p

I was surprised how weak the holland team was. I mean, they just CAN'T be happy with losing 3:0 against one of their biggest rivals, even if it was just a friendly match.
But don't worry about the EC. I think Holland is a lot like Germany: Playing like crap just prior to a tournament, starting very weak into the tournament but performing "better than expected" later on. ^^

But from what I heard Germany fully deserved the victory. Holland has really been playing crap lately. Lost to Sweden, tied to Switzerland, lost to Germany... if they play like this at the EC I doubt they'll make it through the group phase.

Well for one thing, our defense is fucking terrible. We have an amazing offense as you might know, but we lack solid defenders.

And yeah, I do think a lot of people in our country would've loved it if we beat Germany. I did read some letters in the paper the next day in which people were complaining about how bad we played.

Or! Or! Leave their job when they can get a better (paying) job elsewhere.

Yeah, it may have Spoony in it but he doesn't save the film that much. I will say that some of the better parts of the film were actually from his appearances but then you had the idiotic writers overdoing the jokes which ended up ruining them.

Heh, is it anything like that Molesia (or whatever it was called) thing they did? I thought that was alright, but not every part was funny.

Anyway, I remember most of his older videos were pretty good and well watchable. He had decent opinions on things and occasionally he had some good jokes.
By old, you could mean his sketches from 2006 or before. :P Now that's old school TGWTG. Even when considering his main videos, NC and Bum Reviews were at their best in 2008. 2009 still had plenty of moments but 2010 had many forgettable videos. Both of these characters are drawn out at this point.

I liked his more serious work, like his top 11 lists and everything. Last time I watched them was probably around 2008-2009 though.

Oh, and when Doug has to make a reference to My Little Pony, you know he jumped the fucking shark.

Jesus... =/

I thought 50 minutes of trash talking Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was enough. I went through that but there was a lot of time spent on "Is movie X better or worse than Transformers?" More and more I focus on other video makers for genuine reviews. A lot I've seen are straight to the point and don't drag for 30 minutes.

Oh yeah, that was a bit silly. His brother is probably a nice guy and he has decent things to say at times, but most of the reviews Spoony does with him drag on for too long indeed.

Oh I see. Well if it's only 5 minutes I might as well watch a few. Any recommendations?
I'll throw in some videos. Boycotting and the current state of Square Enix are good examples of what he does on a weekly basis.

I do like his style and 5-6 minutes is a reasonable amount of time.

I liked the GameOver Thinker as well. I think he had a similar style to Jim Sterling, but recently he has also stuffed some plot into them and to be honest, he kinda sucks at acting and writing. I wish he just went back to his old style.

An additional 15 endings? :p
Well, it is LOTR extended so that should be the case.

Lol!

I look forward to it.

Good luck with N.
I should do a post about Nanowar.

That would actually be funny.

Well, are you a Beatles fan? Plenty of stuff to check out relating to them.
I'm not really a fan (I don't own any albums) but I still like their music.

I suppose sightseeing trips relating to The Beatles wouldn't really be worth it for you. Well, there are some museums if they're of any interest to you.

Yet we still use it, lol.
I wouldn't use it if wasn't for many NG users only having an AIM account...

How many do you know still use it?

Then you are dodging all those bullets.
I don't know which bullets there are to dodge. Opera is just working fine for me without any "dodging".

You clearly can't see those bullets.

Now that's shocking.
YAY! Unintentional shocking is still... shocking.

But I wanted the regular shock.

On a related note, I sliced my finger open while cleaning up after last night's trip to KFC. Don't ask.

Hmmm. Can't relate it to any sexual fantasies between us three.

It will. I'll be the first to reach 4x30k but there'll be no 4x40k for me. 3x40k isn't bad, though and yet by then, ZAAL will still have more posts than me.
I think I might be the second to 4x30k, correct? I wonder if I've got it in me to ever reach 4x40k...

Yeah, you should be the second to reach 4x30k or maybe it'll be Gagsy. She's at least halfway for 30k blams.
