Haha at least yours makes some semblance of sense. Usually when I level up I get told I need -5 to next level. Not that I'm trying to complain about having too much experience, haha.
Speaking of, does anyone else get that sinking feeling that the redesign's gonna launch just before they level up? I'm nearing level 51 and knowing my luck the entire level structure will change the day I log on for my final deposit as a gold shuriken wielder.
I do take comfort in the fact that it wasn't too long ago JohnnyUtah was asking for suggestions for the new level designs but still... one can't help but think. ; )

The sooner they finish the redesign the better. Over 100 days of the shitty cupid is too much to bear.

It makes me think they are close to completion since I assume level icons are merely low priority for them.

Ah, but this isn't a word you'd find in any dictionary (except for urban dictionary). Anyway, the word "contrafibularities" seems to be supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
Ah, the magic of Hollywood :PMostly it's because naturally all characters in a german dub speak german. But this is sometimes very weird. For example in the Bond movie "Octopussy" where James is in Germany and borrows a car from some german tourists. They act as if they don't understand him (because he's speaking english in the original) and yet he talks german the whole time in the dubbed version. So, why do the tourists don't understand Bond if he's talking their languange the whole time? For some reason, most of the jokes are, but that's because translating good morning in an English accent (i.e. in French) to "good moaning" in a French accent (i.e. Englishman speaking poor French) doesn't translate well.At 10/20/11 05:12 AM, Coop wrote:Seems like the show was aired in 2010 on a station I rarely watch. Yes. Magic. That's what we can see every day in video games when some extraterrestrian species suddendly speaks perfect english.
Either magic or it's the babelfish.
Exactly - these sorts of subtle jokes are lost in translation. I suspect they are not as funny if your first language is not English.I would assume that morning and moaning are different in German, thus they don't sound alike."Morgen" and "Jammer"... no, doesn't sound alike. ^^
But it's funny if you see something that is supposed to be german but doesn't make any sense at all. For example in Hogan's Heroes there where boxes that had "Dies Ende auf" written on them, supposedly a translation of "this end up". Well it is a translation, but a word-by-word one. "Dies Ende auf" doesn't make any sense. ^^

Famous sons rarely do. The only ones I can think of sporting wise would be Brett Hull son of Bobby Hull (NHLers) and Barry Bonds, son of Bobby Bonds (Both baseball players). Sons of the truly greats never amount to as much as their famous fathers, the expectation is too great.

Dude your ratio is amazing. It's practically 1:1
I have 1.1k blams and 19.5k saves.
I used to just do saves but when I was somewhere over 10k saves I decided that was fucking stupid.
I want to make my ratio more normal, but I'm still saving whenever I get the chance so it'll take a while.
I don't worry about it too much, I just go for b/p points rather than blams and saves.
It's different for people who signed up way back when because blams were common. Nowadays there are like 8 flashes that pass for every blam.

Oliver. Olivier sounds like some weird french guy.
Oooooh a zombie division. I like the sound of that idea. Always handy for ... times when we need slow moving... brainless... smelly units for our operations. They should cut off their... brains! And join our zombie army. Yeah!
I think Zombies in movies are always underrated. They are unstoppable!
In the basement then? Don't tell me you lost them...Didn't you have them stacked in your garage somewhere? >.>I don't even have a garage!
They are around here somewhere... just follow your nose! Literally!
But pink is so totally my colour ^.^Though my hair is a bit fluffy at the moment...As long as you don't wear pink shirts it will be all right.
ZOMG!
At a fucking gas station? 0.0You live in this place? Really?Home is where your heart is.
It's no castle, all right. But better than nothing.
Besides, we live in the trailer you can see in the back.
Uh... yeah sure. Not like they're going to do you any good.Well expect me then... tonight! >:)I will. Be sure to bring some cookies!
And bring some flowers for the Mrs.!

Interesting. But I only found an entry in urban dictionary when looking for contrafibularities.
"Extraterrestrial"Ah, the magic of Hollywood :PYes. Magic. That's what we can see every day in video games when some extraterrestrian species suddendly speaks perfect english.
Either magic or it's the babelfish.
Oh.
Ah, the wonderful world of Douglas Adams - he will be sorely missed.
Indeed. Even though I think (or at least that's what I read somewhere) he would it like better if he was remembered for "Last Chance to See" rather than "Hitchhiker".
Not only differences in language, but also in grammar, it would appear. ^^Exactly - these sorts of subtle jokes are lost in translation. I suspect they are not as funny if your first language is not English.I would assume that morning and moaning are different in German, thus they don't sound alike."Morgen" and "Jammer"... no, doesn't sound alike. ^^
Yeah, there are some differences in grammar, but basically german and english grammar are very similar (which makes learning the language a lot easier).
But you'd never say "Ende" or "end" when referring to a box. More like "Seite" or "side". And "auf" usually means "on top of something".
So, a better translation would be "Diese Seite nach oben" ("this side up").

But on the other hand this Lulu didn't get impregnated by Wakka.
Too bad, you missed out on a great post. You didn't even see the Monday Metal Treasures post for Manowar?Nope.
A good post about a shitty band. I'm not interested.
7th December? Could have sworn I had something planned then.Come to a meet with us and we'll debate then.Ok, there's a very very very VERY small chance that I am in Manchester on December 7th for the champions league match Man City vs Bayern Munich. I bet there's some time before or after the game where we could meet for a pint or two. How does that sound?
Too bad.
Ah well, I propably can't afford to go to that match anyway. :/
Oh I see where we were now. Shame you didn't say that "You agree that PAL is better." but that's clearly not the case.So the latest addition is... Whatever the hell we were talking about.Yes. But PAL IS the better system, no matter how you put it. ;)
Again, you cannot blame the PAL system for shitty conversions. It's like blaming a TV for showing shitty TV stations. ;)
A rank of Lieutenant.
And (temporarily) 54th highest user.

I only think about it because I don't like looking on other users profiles and there is a massive gap between there saves and blams.
I think as long as you vote honestly on every flash, you shouldn't be too worried about your ratio. I think it used to be that the portal was filled with much crappier stuff which was easy to blam, and therefore it was easier to keep something like a 1:1 ratio (for a long time my blams outstripped my saves). Nowadays, my impression is that stuff which comes through the portal is of higher quality... and that people have become a lot more lenient in their voting... Either way, if you try to keep your blams and saves together, I think you're going to struggle.
That's why as long as you give each flash the vote you think it deserves, I don't think you should worry about it too much.

Hey thanks dude. I didn't want to be on your list anyway. I guess 45,000 B/P isn't as exciting to you as it is to me. ;-P
I'm like an elephant I have a long memory.

Personally I'd rather they were closer.
I have 1.1k blams and 19.5k saves.
Yeah, that would drive me insane. I don't even know why. It just would. I'd have to spend like a year getting not a single save and just concentrating on the blams.
I want to make my ratio more normal, but I'm still saving whenever I get the chance so it'll take a while.
Good luck with that, it is probibly going to take a while. But it's something t6o work on I guess.
It's different for people who signed up way back when because blams were common. Nowadays there are like 8 flashes that pass for every blam.
Yeah, even in the time that I've been here I've noticed that the ratio of flashes that get saved compared to the ones that get blamed has changed quite a lot.
