I'm back today with 10,000 EXP, as promised. It's a toss-up between this and 10,000 blams for my second greatest NG statistical achievement to date. (The first being reaching Supreme Commander, of course).
I think I have to go with this one, though, as it has taken me nearly 7 YEARS to reach.
Hopefully my next 10K wont take such a long time. I think I'll shoot for...Oh, I don't know, how's a 1000 days sound? Doesn't hurt to be optimistic, anyways... :P
Had to add a pic for my post history...

I wish I'd ditched French altogether and put more effort into German lessons. Then I could have done Geography instead.
I also wish I'd spent more time with my selections for A-Levels. I think I'd have ditched Maths and taken English at the very least, possibly something else, other than Physics as well. Still, this is all in the past. I've got the future to think of now and that could be a lot brighter than it was.

I have yet to start playing FF XIII however I always found FF XII very fun. I haven't played it in awhile but I had almost all side quests completed except the Omega Mark thing (which to me just looks like an overgrown pain in the ass mimic) and the toughest of all known as Yizamat (unlike that one FF XI boss, this one can be beaten with patience and it doesn't have any spells to auto-restore itself to full health). Very fun game though even if Vann seems a bit whiny most of the time (at least to me anyways).
I never cared about FFXII enough to beat Yiazmat. However, now I'm finding myself back to Rollercoaster Tycoon. Damn you Deus Ex effect.

Exactly!
I thought it was sad to see last Tuesday that my favorite club, Ajax, got wiped off the pitch by Real Madrid (3-0). Ajax used to be amongst the best clubs in Europe, but they just can't compete with clubs like Chelsea and Real Madrid anymore.Yeah, I feel the same about Aston Villa - we won lots of competitions in the early 80s, but now we're lucky if we can finish mid table.
Yes, isn't Aston Villa usually a bit of a middle-ranker in the English premier league?
Luckily Ajax is still doing well in the Dutch first division. Last year they finally got their 3rd star which fans have been waiting for for 7 years.
Though I guess the fact that our champion lost so badly to Real Madrid says a lot about the level of the Dutch football clubs.

Yeah this might not be such a good idea. On the other hand though, perhaps it is good that they are at least trying something else with the series?
Why can't they just do a huge throwback to the classic games? Just go back to simple turn-based combat, simple ability learning systems and a classic FF story. To be fair, I do like the fast pace action in FFXIII. The flexibility of the moves does make the engines feel free from dust. Not saying the previous battle systems were bad, though but this feels a lot faster.
Hmm... well I guess that's nice, but the battles looked a bit chaotic (from what I've seen from Gameplay videos).
Well... can't do this in a politically correct, democratic way then.We won for one update.
YEAH!
Yeah that was just weird. From what I heard the normal monsters could all be one-hit KO'd with even the most simple attacks when you were able to hit for 99999 damage.Yep, that's the strengths you can go to in FFX. FFXII had multiple hits within a single move but FFXIII does both. Well, the limit might exceed 99999 HP damage but the most I've seen taken off with a single attack is 50k HP.
Lol.
You know I'm playing FF9 again right now and I actually love how it is so hard to do high amounts of damage. I mean, if you hit for 3000 in this game, that's already a lot. And the guy with the most HP only has 80,000 HP which isn't even the final boss.
I guess they wanted a change from 1,000,000+ HP bosses they had in FFVII and FFVIII.

But at least Bayern didn't concede a goal as well, so that's 8 games in a row (or maybe even 9?) where they didn't concede a goal! Amazing.
Manuel Neuer has to be the player with the least ball contacts in the whole Bundesliga.
Oh yeah I saw that on the news this week. Amazing that they won 10 matches in a row and still haven't lost a game. Also, it's apparently 11 matches without a goal against.
Indeed, Neuer doesn't have an awful lot to do then. Great goalie by the way, I thought he was the best goalie of the WC.

I've played it many times before. Excellent game, despite the lack of option to speed things up. One year takes 75 minutes and a lot of levels generally require you to spend 3 or 4 years game time-wise in order to beat them.
As for Yizamat I could probably beat the dragon thing if I had enough time on my hands, would have to have a perfect gambit setup and then walk away for a couple of hours.
Ugh, fuck the gambit system. It only makes me feel lazy when using it.

I've become bitter and, let's face it, crazy over the years. And once I'm swept into office, I'll sell our children's organs to zoos for meat and I'll go into people's houses at night and wreck up the place!"
"Not so fast, Nixon! Are you familiar with 'Audio Tape'?"
Well those are understood as mandatory in order for proper moderation.Booze? Hookers? Gay porn?Yeah, because hitting small children with a ban stick makes them shut up :PYou might want to leave that part out. I'm sure they don't need to hear about moderator oppression. Just focus on the positives like,, well umh, well you can figure something out that's positive about being a mod.
Though they must be used like everything else - in moderation.

LOL I've written 1 review in the last 2+ years. I'm not saying that's my limit, but you know... Lets face it, I'm never going beyond triple-listed. :(
And I suppose I could ask you the same question... Then again I could ask that of any user who's not X or KWAS. lol
I just gotta reply to another 183 weeks worth of your b/p updates - I'll be there in no time!I could manage that.
I don't doubt you could. Hopefully I can hold up my end of the deal. :P

You ever make roller coasters that go off track just for the fun of watching the people fly off the rails and down to their deaths? Also found a Rollercoaster Tycoon CD out in my dad's room yesterday, cool.
Yep, you can be evil like that. However, it doesn't help the park ratings at all and most levels rely on having a good park rating.
Ugh, fuck the gambit system. It only makes me feel lazy when using it.I don't mind the gambit system.
The gambit system feels like the game is doing all the work for you. I feel FFXIII is at least an improvement since auto-battle could do the unwanted commands. However, you still lack control from the other two party members.
I suppose, still want to buy the game at some point and play. Also what's up with Excalibur II? It's not much better than Excalibur and you have to beat the game in an insane time. D:
Don't even remind me. That only kills the experience of FFIX.

Excellent work! Will you be the first 16.00 VP'er or will NeMeSiSM finally get off his ass and get that last point?

illuminate also has 10k reviews. It'll be a while before we get another 10k reviewer. Cyberdevil was meant to be there but then he stopped.

Then I could have done Geography instead.
I had to learn a second foreign language (either French or Latin) in lower grades in order to get my A levels. Or else I would've been forced to learn spanich in the upper grades. I was just planning ahead: Learn a second language now and get some more free time in the upper levels.
I also wish I'd spent more time with my selections for A-Levels. I think I'd have ditched Maths and taken English at the very least, possibly something else, other than Physics as well. Still, this is all in the past. I've got the future to think of now and that could be a lot brighter than it was.
Yeah, picking maths as one of my major fields hasn't been a smart move. I ended up with english class and german class as my major fields. But on the other hand, there wasn't anything else I was interested in enough to pick it as my major.

At least I can come up with some excuses other than being lazy or just slow. Had two projects going in uni that required a lot of my time and one of them is still going. Hopefully I can post the next letter this week end.
You said you might forget. Here's an idea: Remind me once you have the money to get it.Among the living. How's that? :P
I told you I would remember it when I see it. ;)
Yes, I might have forgotten, but you helped me remembering it by shouting the name at me. ^^

But at least Bayern didn't concede a goal as well, so that's 8 games in a row (or maybe even 9?) where they didn't concede a goal! Amazing.
Manuel Neuer has to be the player with the least ball contacts in the whole Bundesliga.
Even better.
Indeed, Neuer doesn't have an awful lot to do then. Great goalie by the way, I thought he was the best goalie of the WC.
He made some easy mistakes in the near past (or at least, he didn't look too good), but I think he will be there when he's needed most.
And the coorporations! It's all the medias fault!Of course!
Goes without saying.
Splendid!Erm... some flame retardant goo-y stuff then. How fitting. If the zombie nerds are goo-y than their "blood" should be made out of goo-y stuff as well.
So uh... how are they supposed to move again?
We could give them scooters so they can drive around.
Put it anywhere not in your pocket. Where it'll get mixed in with the others and become just a coin.Well done.Get the fuck out of here.
Don't put it in your pocket, sir. Don't put it in your pocket. It's your lucky quarter.
...
Which it is.
