Let's stop associating him with metal. Hell, he became a has-been right after being kicked out of Maiden. Blaze Bayley's doing better than him right now!

Little-known fact - the drummer for the band I auditioned for last year is going to play for a band in Manchester soon and if he makes it to the gig that he was on about, he'll be sharing a stage with Blaze Bayley!

Sorry to hear that :(

I can't say I exactly know how it feels to lose a pet animal. I've never had one and although we're taking care of my grandmothers birds right now, there's probably not as much emotional involvement as you would have with your own pets.

Yeah, that I understand. The more you're attached to the pet you have, the worse it'll be when they go. I often look after the rabbits and always love seeing them in the garden. For most nights I put them in their bed so I do care for them.

We've decided that we won't get another partner for the other rabbit. I don't think it'll do any good for a young energetic rabbit to hang out with an old rabbit who barely walks around the garden.

I did say he did make a metal album. Well, it's not entirely metal but songs like The Bloody Verdict of Verden easily fall in that genre. I'd say it's mostly neoclassical.
Pretty awesome how an old guy like him is so much into metal :p

I see no problem with being a heavy metal gamer at the age of 80. :P

The Lost Woods would be a good place.
Well the best thing about it is that it has empty tunnels that will teleport you back to the entrance. They could simply create a few new areas and paste them right in.

Oh yeah, there's tons of potential for the Lost Woods right there. Heh, it's like Nintendo planned to remake the game at some point.

You can understand FFX's popularity and to make a sequel for it but why is FFXIII getting a sequel? Did anyone even ask for a sequel for it?
I have no idea what the game's story is like, but so far all the Final Fantasy games I have played never needed a sequel. I don't suppose FFXIII needs one either.

It was probably a hit in Japan so they felt they had to make a sequel for it. FFXII had a sequel but it was only on the DS. I'm still waiting for a new game relating to FFVI.

That doesn't sound like much a selection. If you want you have an entire dinner's worth of food or just something small like sandwiched, wraps, etc. I usually eat there once every other month but usually get enough for a dinner worth.

Oh yeah they do have wraps by the way, and perhaps sandwiches as well. Also, they have a salad or two and that's about all I can remember from the top of my head.

I guess the fact there is so many burger places here, that they feel it would be pointless to sell it.

Sounds like a good reason. Over here there are really only three fast food joints which are dominating the market. They are KFC, McDonalds and Burger King, so the KFC can actually sell something exclusive. Not that the other two don't have chicken burgers, but KFC's simply sells much better quality chicken.

Other than those three there is only the Subway as far as I know.

At my parents house we usually ate potatoes and some vegetable mashed together. Tastes pretty good indeed. I like to put apple sauce on it as well.
Potatoes and vegetables mashed together, applesauce? Potatoes alone is just fine for me. When making it, add milk and butter to make it creamy and add some white or brown gravy to taste. Yum.

Brown gravy, okay, people do that. But milk and butter? Wtf? 0.o

You can find those here, but I don't think people center their meals around pork meat. Usually it will be some vegetables, some potatoes and a piece of meat. Not mostly meat with vegetables as a side dish or anything.
I guess there are not many pigs where you live. There are many dishes that are centered around pork, like BBQ ribs, Pork Chops, or where it's made into County Sausage, etc.

I'm sure there are plenty here. But do you really mean that the 'main dish' is some kind of pork meat? Like ... anything else will just be a sidedish?

Yeah. I got an aunt who was married at her 18th. I don't think 18 year olds these days even want to think about marriage yet.
Yeah marriage is becoming a dying tradition. There is just too much burden with getting married and getting out of it when it doesn't work out.

I agree. I guess there are some legal advantages, but I'm sure you can do fine without. Plus if you break up, it will be a lot of hassle to get things sorted out like you said. Especially if there are kids involved as well.

Nope. No Taco Bell, no Chipotle, no Wendy's... Starbucks' are very rare. That's about all the major fast food chains I know.

What we do have a lot of are 'snackbars', which mostly center around french fries and fried meat. About every city or village has one. As far as I know there are only two fairly big chains of them though and there are hundreds of singular snackbars around.

Subways are all over the place here as well.

The paper last week said that Subway now had more restaurants than McDonalds. But their profits were still much lower.

Brown gravy, okay, people do that. But milk and butter? Wtf? 0.o

Yeah. Like you have porkchops as the main focus of the meal while you can have sides like vegetables, salad, etc.

Hmm okay that sounds a bit weird to me, but perhaps it's a matter of definition. Personally what I call the 'main dish' is what I have the most of on my plate. That is never the meat, so I consider that a sidedish.

I don't know if you define the main and sidedish the same.

I agree. I guess there are some legal advantages, but I'm sure you can do fine without. Plus if you break up, it will be a lot of hassle to get things sorted out like you said. Especially if there are kids involved as well.

I have never really looked into that, so I have no idea what exacty the benefits are.

However, recently I have officially registered me and my gf as 'fiscal partners' which also came with some benefits. But they are really minimal, we get like a few euros extra now for health care and I think that's about it.

Yeah, I know more and more people who suddenly start buying LPs and have an LP player at home. Personally I like LPs mostly for their huge cover art.

They could do the same in a Majora's Mask remake, if it ever comes. There's also a Lost Woods-like place there.
There was? Man, it's been so long since I last played Majora's Mask.

Yeah, it was in the swamp near the magic potion shop. You had to follow some monkey to get through. OoT's Lost Woods was more interesting though. In MM the areas all look similar and there's nothing special anywhere as far as I know.

Although I prefer it over Ocarina of Time, I really want to give this game the quality plays rather than quantity plays.

I have to agree, although I can see why Ocarina of Time is considered the 'better game' generally. As for quality vs quantity plays... it's already too late for me. Majora's Mask is the game I did most runs through. I think the counter is on nine runs right now. But like you I haven't touched it in a long time, perhaps I should dig it back up soon and relive some childhood memories.

I agree. Final Fantasy VI deserves a 3D remake at the very least. It'd be awesome if they work out Kefka right (in 2D sprites there isn't really much room for expressions and poses).
I'm talking about a whole new game relating to FFVI but that's also good.

Like I said, it's the least it deserves. But a prequel or sequel would be sweet of course. I don't see much room for a sequel though, but an interesting prequel should be makeable. It could aim on explaining more about Kefka. About his past and what turned him into that joker figure. IIRC the game never got into that.

Yeah. We do need some extra hands here.

Well, while they would be welcome, it's not a necessity for people to make lists. I feel that as long as someone congratulates people in here, we have a working system.

Immunity? From what?

If you're talking about immunity from bans, posting maturely is the best defence against bans that I can give you. Alternatively, the NG Pope would probably preach abstinence, but that's no fun :P

Slapstick specialist? Always useful to have one of those on your team.

I'd rather have had Groucho Marx, or one of the three stooges in his place.

Fish and Chips?

The paper last week said that Subway now had more restaurants than McDonalds. But their profits were still much lower.

They might have more restaurants but they don't sell as much food as McD's. McDonalds can shovel out food like no one's else business.

Hmmm well... I like eating them that way with apple sauce instead of milk and butter, so who am I to judge? Even for our countries' standards that's weird :p

I just never thought of adding applesauce to mashed potatoes. It just seem those two things should stay separate. At least we can agree it's not as weird as beans for breakfast. :P

Hmm okay that sounds a bit weird to me, but perhaps it's a matter of definition. Personally what I call the 'main dish' is what I have the most of on my plate. That is never the meat, so I consider that a sidedish.

I don't know if you define the main and sidedish the same.

Well main dish is just as it sounds.
"What are you having for dinner?"
'Steak.'
"What else are you going to have with it?"
'Bake potato, salad, and coleslaw.'

See the steak is the main point of the meal and everything else is just filler so to speak.

I have never really looked into that, so I have no idea what exacty the benefits are.

However, recently I have officially registered me and my gf as 'fiscal partners' which also came with some benefits. But they are really minimal, we get like a few euros extra now for health care and I think that's about it.

Is that akin to common law marriage?

I hit 88,000 medal points yesterday.

I also just got my first malware on this computer, which is kind of a milestone I guess. I was running down links in order to verify a submission as stolen (it is), and after tracking down the link to where it was originally posted I went to the site he got that particular version from to get the link, and a Vista version of Spyware Defender popped up and started running a "scan." It also wouldn't let me run any other programs, saying they were all infected. I wasn't exactly fooled, though, since I'm running XP. So I rebooted into safe mode and removed the offending program from my startup list. Now I'm running some scans. I'm leaving the program where it is for now, though, so my antivirus and antimalware programs can have a look at it.

FWIW the offending program was
C:\Documents and Settings\%user%\Application Data\defender.exe
and since I know Windows' defender program would be running out of the Windows directory, it's kind of a no-brainer.

I remember when that type of shit got on my computer. However that was years ago when the shit just said your computer was infected. Back then it actually let your stuff update, and eventually my computer updated and got rid of it. Now they make so you have to go into safe mode to do that.

But still I see that stupid redirect every so often as well when in the portal on this site. I am guessing some something got on the site and is now redirecting innocent users in an attempt to scam them. Since I usually have two tabs open as soon as I see that shit I close it and make a new one before the shit can try and download to my computer. Still the shit is annoying as hell thought.

Here's the crazy part though: according to the file information, it downloaded at 10:45 last night. At that time I had just finished my workout and was on my way to the shower; I don't think I was even on my computer at the time. So how it got there is a complete mystery. At any rate, I've updated all my anti-ware software (except AVG, which I'll do tonight) and some time this weekend I'm going to run them all at once and let them brawl to the death in an epic battle royal. Just to be safe.

Sadly, there is some truth in that :(

Hell, I sometimes think the whole of humanity should be wiped out, even if it means you and me to go. It's a shit enough world as it is.

Our first rabbit didn't have a partner until she was 4. We didn't consider a partner at first up until we thought it'd be ideal if we had a second rabbit.
I think it's better for them, yes. I believe rabbits are social animals.

They can but getting to know each other the first time can be rough. I recall some loose fur in the garden a few times. :P

Well, LPs are becoming more and more popular these days. A fair amount of albums are easy to get on vinyl, although they do cost more than CDs.
Yeah, I know more and more people who suddenly start buying LPs and have an LP player at home. Personally I like LPs mostly for their huge cover art.

That's what I like about LPs but what LPs are not fully compatible with are computers. I think there's a special device to rip LPs onto computers but CDs are much easier to use and aren't as big.

There was? Man, it's been so long since I last played Majora's Mask.
Yeah, it was in the swamp near the magic potion shop. You had to follow some monkey to get through. OoT's Lost Woods was more interesting though. In MM the areas all look similar and there's nothing special anywhere as far as I know.

Yeah, I've forgotten too much. I'd play it again but that game is LOOOOONG, especially when playing through the sidequests as well. And besides, I really should prioritise Twilight Princess.

I have to agree, although I can see why Ocarina of Time is considered the 'better game' generally.

I see Ocarina of Time as more straight-forward and more definitive of the Zelda franchise. Majora's Mask lacks a few basic aspects of Zelda such as Hyrule but it's still an awesome game.

I really think there's loads of potential for a prequel. There was the War of the Magi story and I'm sure they can come up with something good for that idea.
