Yes, it has some advantages: I can read them without having to worry about obstacles that might be in the way (desks, or overhead projectors) plus I can easily advance a few slides to see what comes up next. It also helps me with taking notes.

Yeah I guess it's kinda handy to have them in front of you during the lectures. The thing is though, I can usually look through those slides at home in about 10 minutes and I will have gathered just as much from them. That's why I rarely go to lectures anymore ever since my second year, but now that I live closer to the uni I might go a bit more often again.

Whenever a new semester starts I think: "well, maybe I should attend more lectures this time" and in the end I only attend half of them. ^^

There are other reasons besides that one but I don't want to mention them on the BBS. However the reason I like having my profile genderless is the following reason. It is just something that can be done anymore with new accounts kind of like the way the 1999-2001 users could have 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, or 9 at the end of their EXP when the rest of us can only have a 5 or 0 since the old ways of gaining extra exp are gone.

That's roughly the same amount I paid for FFV Advance so it's fair.

Well I guess it's a popular game, but 45 euros was pretty much the price for GBA games when they were brand new. Such a price sounds more fair for a DS remake.

But I see it does have 'jobs' which was a system I rather liked in Final Fantasy Tactics. Mostly because it was so versatile; You could set-up any character in any way you want.

The job system in FFV is vastly superior to what FFIII offered.

Hmmm maybe in Germany, but I think in Holland they tend to crop up in the city centres. If we're talking about the same people that is.

Almost exactly the same here. Numerous times I've said to myself: "Next period I'm gonna go more often" or "I'm definitely going to attend that lecture next year since I've failed the exams". But I never do so in the end. Even when I live closer by, I probably still won't go that often.

Tell me about it - the town is shut, because of the flood defences being put in place. Makes my job of getting around a lot more difficult, as the traffic numbers are still there, but they now get funneled into 2/3 of the streets.

Snow would mean that the water is deferred for a little while. Mind you, we'd have to deal with the water when the snow melts. Just getting a bit colder would probably help, as the Welsh are so generous with their used rainwater.

Opeth was one that took time to get into but now Blackwater Park stands as one of the finest metal releases of the last decade.

Yeah I often have trouble loading pictures when I'm at home and that's a bit incovenient when you're modding icons. But I'll be moving soon and I'll have a different internet connection so hopefully I won't experience trouble then.

I guess we are. But I can only speak for Hamburg here. The very center of the city is a very "posh" area, with lots of shops and hotels and stuff. The poorer areas are either a bit away from the city center or at the border areas (much like in France, for example).

Sadly great knowledge doesn't make a good teacher. Some of my profs proofed this. All of them had great knowledge on their field (well duh, you don't become a professor if you don't know anything about that field), but not all of them are good at teaching.

Hmmm... I don't know. Yes, maybe they'll only grow more expensive since they'll become so rare, but at the same time they could become a bit cheaper since the game will become old and not so many people will be interested anymore. It could go either way.

They might be re-released on another console such as the 3DS but I wouldn't count on it.

I could do with more Zelda sometime soon. Maybe around the time Skyward Sword comes out or maybe I can try and beat Twilight Princess again...

Have you ever beaten that game or not? I thought you said you were stuck somewhere, but I don't know if you have gotten back to it lately.

Nope, I never got back to it. Right now I'm going through games on the PS3 and I'm close to beating Assassin's Creed II.

Sadly great knowledge doesn't make a good teacher. Some of my profs proofed this. All of them had great knowledge on their field (well duh, you don't become a professor if you don't know anything about that field), but not all of them are good at teaching.

They should do what they do in Venice and travel via canals. You can't fight the river forever and many towns along the Mississippi River have found that out and moved after repeated floods.

Luckily, I only got three inches of snow which isn't too bad. Next week's temps: 70 F
