Nope. It's the noisiest part of town and usually you'll find the worst people living there.
The bus thing is not a major problem I suppose, but not being able to read lecture slides kinda sucks. I can imagine it's difficult to follow lectures that way.Nah, most of the time I can read them on my netbook, lol. ^^
So sometimes you're just sitting there in the lectures with your notebook displaying the very same lecture slides as the ones on the whiteboard?
Heh, well occasionally I call my gf during my bus/subway/train ride. While I usually only have one or two things to ask or say, we almost always get into a 15+ minutes talk about random things :pHeh, my gf doesn't talk too much, just like me. So when we call each other we run out of things to say after 10 minutes. XD
Well normally we aren't that talkative either, but somehow we always find something new to talk about when we're on the phone. I feel like I'm occasionally annoying the people sitting around me though. They probably think I'm one of those people who keep on blabbering on the phone about absolutely nothing (which I guess is true to some degree).
I can't think of any better food actually... beside maybe lahmacun (Turkish pizza).I once had a Dürüm Döner. The bread was so tasty, it was amazing. I almost went back into the store and asked if I could have some more bread.
Durum Doner? I think that's almost the same as a lahmacun, but a lahmacun has spiced meat in the dough. You can usually choose what you have on them, like kebab, chicken, lattice, tomatoes etc. and it's usually topped with garlic sauce.
Link: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lahmacun
Lol, yeah and write a program which can calculate if the A-team has to intervene:Lol, looks good to me. But you can simply write
Boolean help_needed;
While (A-team != retired) {
if help_needed == true;
return A-team;
}
or something, I don't know. This has always been my weakest subject :p
if(help_needed)
because a boolean only knows two different states, true or not true. Also, the if-construction is a boolean construction as well. If $blabla is true, then... so writing: if $boolean==true is redunant. ^^
Like I said, this has always been my weakest area in uni. I'm glad I passed these courses, but I can still hardly write a decent program.

Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother
It's an album, but also the first song on the album which lasts 26 minutes or so. Then there are four more songs out of which one is about 13 minutes.
I'm not sure if this is something your dad would want to have, unless he really wants all the albums. Technically it's probably their worst album. I heard that the song Atom Heart Mother is really just a compilation of random music pieces they once created and looking back, the band members feel a bit embarrased by putting that on an album. The other songs on the album aren't very popular amongst fans either as far as I know.
Personally I think the song AHM has some very nice, easy listening parts which are very suitable as background music. The other songs are nice to listen to as well, but I would not recommend this album unless you are really a collector or a die hard Pink Floyd fan.
Maybe Ummagumma would be a better album to get, although to be honest I haven't listened to it that much yet. Otherwise the DVD Live in Pompeii is not bad. Visually it's not much interesting, but the tracks on the DVD are nice.
Heh, soccer dads aren't exactly what soccer moms are like.At 2/2/11 04:25 AM, Bahamut wrote:Yeah I know what you're saying.
Funny cause here we have the 'soccer dads' which refers to the over-fanatical dads along the sidelines who push their kids to become professional football players. Sometimes they make such idiots out of themselves.
Yeah I wonder where that term comes from then (if I have the right image of a soccer mom in mind).
Yeah, I think it beats starters like Charizard and such. It's definitely a kick-ass pokemon to have in your team. I was disappointed that I couldn't get him in Platinum because I don't have Fire Red to insert into the gameslot :(Charizard will always be a likely pick for me. However, Black/White will need to change that as it only focuses on new Pokemon until you get the National Dex.
Yeah, if I can get my hands on him. He has always been my absolute favorite starter out of all the games.
Too bad B/W only focuses on new ones until you get the national dex. I always like to see some familiar faces from which you already know their strenghts and weaknesses.
Yes, I never saw the benefit of having a crappy camera installed so that you can take lame pictures of yourself. It might appeal to some kids, but it's a pointless feature to us and it shouldn't be there at the cost of other things (such as the GBA slot).And clearly the GBA slot is much more important than a shitty camera.
Couldn't agree more. Although my GBA still works fine as well, but a redundant GBA slot still beats a shitty camera.
That reminds me, I'm getting FFV on GBA and I'll soon get FFVI on it as well, even if I have to dish out £50+. It'll only get worse later on.
FFV eh? Together with III, that's the only FF I have never heard anything about at all.
Also this reminds me, I still want to play the DS remakes of FF III and FF IV. When I'm done with those I might as well go for V as well since I will have played I to IX then except for II.

I know about IV being hard as fuck. I've been warned by several people already. But that's okay, I'm a fairly experienced FF player by now so that should help me get through.
As for FFIII, I figured that it wasn't their most impressive title since, again, I have never heard anyone ever mentioning this game. I'd like to go through it anyway though, just to try and beat all the FF's from I-IX (apart from II which I might save for last or never play through at all).

Well that, or they are the kind of people that tend to be a bit 'not caring about their neighbours and other people', loud, poor, not too bright etc. You know... most of those tend to live in the very center of the cities because that's where the cheapest homes are and that's all they can afford.

Yeah I guess it's kinda handy to have them in front of you during the lectures. The thing is though, I can usually look through those slides at home in about 10 minutes and I will have gathered just as much from them. That's why I rarely go to lectures anymore ever since my second year, but now that I live closer to the uni I might go a bit more often again.

I'm pretty sure Lahmacuns are wrapped as well. Like I said, I think the only difference is the spiced meat in the dough and some of the toppings (although you could probably put the same on both and have an equally tasty meal).
And yes, I know the problem. They always wrap them in aluminium foil and napkins, but they're still difficult to eat without getting your face, fingers and the table all covered up in fat and sauce :p
