Of course, my parents supported me or else I wouldn't had been "kicked out" in the first place. Plus, it was my second time moving out, first time was at 21 but my apprenticeship didn't turn out the way I hoped it would, so I had to move back in.

I'm probably gonna need some parent support as well, but at the moment my parents do not seem to be too happy with my decision and feel like I should financially take care of myself then. The monthly rent is not much of a problem, our student support money can easily cover that. It's mostly the health insurances that appear to be very costly.

If we were to get a job and work for one day in the week or so we should have more than enough money though.

Not with the pace I currently have. Seems I suffered some review deletion (because of deleted flashes) lately. At least I am very sure I wrote more reviews than I gained on the updates in the Top Reviewers List.

Well, according to some check and compare website, me and my girlfriend can get a health insurance for about 160 euros a month. This is the cheapest one available, with student discount and a discount for being less than 31 years old included.

This has the maximum of what we call 'own risk' though. It means that if we need some medicine or one of us ends up in a hospital for example, we have to pay the first 670 euros of costs ourselves.

It seems silly to me, because if we take a low own risk we can't handle the monthly costs and if we take a high own risk it's still very costly and we're fucked if something happens to us. It seems hardly beneficial for us to get such an insurance at all, but it's mandatory X|

It's hard to say for myself since the last time I didn't get into the finals is 2006. 2007 got me Most Underrated finalist, mid 2008 awards offered me Never Logs Off finalist, 2008 awards had Never Logs off and Best Poster finals, mid 2009 had Best Poster finals and winning Most Underrated, the second award of 2009 I won Most Underrated again and mid 2010 had me in the finals for Most Underrated once again and winning Best Poster. I wouldn't be surprised. However, Sam & Max haven't made any references to Merseyside while Conker's Bad Fur Day did. Sam & Max have gone as far as making references to modern internet age such as namedropping YouTube and Craigslist. Something like that would stick out like a sore thumb in The Simpsons.

I don't know if I have to pay anything extra if I have to go to the hospital, but well, since the current government seems to be more interested in hotels and managers I wouldn't be surprised if I have to.
Also: Yes, it seems a bit silly that an insurance is mandatory, but I'm quite happy we don't have such a fucked up health system like the USA. :/

Okay, so me and my gf went to our meeting today about that apartment. We discussed the rent and it turns out to be cheap as fuck really. We basically pay about 200 euros a month for three rooms, plus a shower, toilet and kitchen. Our parents have also agreed to pay our health insurances, so that pretty much takes care of our financial troubles.

This means that we will most likely move out of our parents houses to The Hague somewhere in the next couple of weeks. I know this is a pretty big step in life, but everybody has to take it sooner or later.

It's hard to say for myself since the last time I didn't get into the finals is 2006. 2007 got me Most Underrated finalist, mid 2008 awards offered me Never Logs Off finalist, 2008 awards had Never Logs off and Best Poster finals, mid 2009 had Best Poster finals and winning Most Underrated, the second award of 2009 I won Most Underrated again and mid 2010 had me in the finals for Most Underrated once again and winning Best Poster. Yeah, that's a lot I've done.

I wouldn't be surprised. However, Sam & Max haven't made any references to Merseyside while Conker's Bad Fur Day did. Sam & Max have gone as far as making references to modern internet age such as namedropping YouTube and Craigslist. Something like that would stick out like a sore thumb in The Simpsons.

I don't know if I have to pay anything extra if I have to go to the hospital, but well, since the current government seems to be more interested in hotels and managers I wouldn't be surprised if I have to.
Also: Yes, it seems a bit silly that an insurance is mandatory, but I'm quite happy we don't have such a fucked up health system like the USA. :/
Having an insurance is ALWAYS better than not having one.

It looks like that's changing under Obama though, but yeah I guess you're right. Compared to America and many other countries, the Dutch health system isn't so bad and neither is the system in many other Western European countries.

Anyway, like I already said above, our parents are willing to pay our health insurances so that's awesome ^^
