OMG! Street View started in Germany today. Some kind of hysteria and/or paranoia led to some pretty silly actions. Now some houses aren't visible because some jerk complained to google.
My house is visible, the house next to mine isn't... this looks just stupid.

I actually had some tutorial for that, but I forgot most of it already. :(
I had a course which dealt with it and they had some book online which I just saved on my laptop. Had to consult it several times already because it's indeed hard to remember it all.

I guess I should visit another tutorial before I start to write my diploma thesis. ^^

Yeah with the rise of the internet so that everybody has access to anything at all times... It's just getting in the way nowadays.
For example I never got why websites are sued for displaying song texts. Nothing else, just the song text. Many (if not all) sites hosted on a german server where sued for compensation. Compensation for what? That's so ridiculous...
I never knew those kind of sites were dealing with copyright infringement issues as well. I agree with you it's a little bit silly. It's not like anyone is gonna pay money to look up a song text.

Basically what those sites where sued for is called "Schadensersatz" in german. It means that you sue someone for a loss you suffered because of some actions those person did (wiki about "damages").
It would mean that record companies suffered a loss because of those sites. So, by their logic people looked up a song text on the internet and decided NOT to buy a song.
I wonder how people can come up with such a twisted logic and I wonder why courts say the record companies are right. :/

Maybe a bit late, but as some of you may know I was in Scotland this year. I also had a small meet up with Bezman, BlackOps and Lazypint there.
Well, here's a picture of me and Bez in Pollock Park. :)

It would definitely be a good idea to refresh your memory on it before you write your thesis ;)

Ugh! This just sounds like whining in the hopes to squeeze some extra money out of something.

Of course I could think of a ton of reasons why that statement is stupid, but above everything; If you think people will not buy albums when they find out the lyrics of the songs are bad, why don't you just make sure that you don't hand out contracts to people who write bad lyrics? Like: MAKE SURE THE PRODUCT YOU SELL IS OF GOOD QUALITY, AS ALL COMPANIES SHOULD DO.

This is one of those reasons why I just can not sympathize with those record companies who keep complaining that they suffer from illegal downloading. They really don't give a shit about music at all.

Coming from a guy who pulled off a 70 porn star 'stach, that a pretty high honor.
I also wore a Charlie Chaplin moustache to work for a £20 bet. But Bezman wore a much more impressive 'tache to the meet. It was about 8" across his face.

He plans to shave his beard like a chessboard pattern, he told me. ^^

This is so weird. I constantly confuse you with Coop now. Somewhere in my brain the level 46 icon in combination with a golden aura is connected with the name "Coop83".

Usually Lemmy asks "Is it loud enough?" and the fans respond: "NO!"
He did ask that and I said yeah. It just wasn't TOO loud. :P

Motörhead are never too loud.

Because it's stating what's good and bad about Metallica's music.
Battery a cappella still sounds like crap (the original is aweseom, though).
How about Master of Puppets?

Sounds funny. :)

Stop it, that's making me think of Manowar. You know that's not good for you.
What makes you think of Manowar? "A man a plan" or "that was something different"?
A man of plan.

Oh, I see. I was thinking of that palindrome starting with "A man, a plan" and ending with "Panama" that inspired many other long palindromes.

I'm still immune to ghosts, though.

LOL!

Speaking of gfox, he could start posting here again... would even be better than a picture of him.
We got a picture of him now. I suppose that's good.

Yeah, now he just needs to make a comeback.

Well, here's a picture of me and Bez in Pollock Park. :)
When was this meet planned? :P Also, the only Wi/Ht?'er who I need to see a picture of now is gfox.

Wait, you've seen a picture of me? When did that happen?

Like: MAKE SURE THE PRODUCT YOU SELL IS OF GOOD QUALITY, AS ALL COMPANIES SHOULD DO.
Lol yeah, but that would mean those guys would have to use their common sense. It seems to me that "common sense" is pretty rare these days. ^^

Sometimes I think it's not even a lack of 'common sense'. It's simply people who are in the wrong positions, who don't really give a crap about what they're selling to people and get payed way too much for the poor job they're doing.

Ah well, the universe is gradually slowing down, until all systems collapse in on themselves, thus rendering all human endeavour pointless. Just to put these stats in context.

Yeah well... That's not the way I like to look at things :p
