For me however, I still hate to have to write down a shitload of references in the correct way every time I hand in a report.Quoting texts "the right way" and writing down references is much too complicated, imo.
Yeah you have to write down initials, surname, year of publishing, title of the paper/book (in italics or between quote marks), publishing company and some other things. In that order, and that's only for papers and books. There are lots of other source types with their own rules as well.
Then you also have to refer to them in the text you're writing =/
But I also meant in the music and film business and such, with for example that AFTA stuff they wanna do right now. Checking computers for illegal downloads, copyright violations and other things. I really think it might be cheaper and better for everyone if they just dumped a bag of cash at the authors straight away as a compensation.Never heard of it before, so I don't have to say too much on this topic. ^^
Just that I think the idea of the "copyright" doesn't really fit into the modern society anymore.
Yeah with the rise of the internet so that everybody has access to anything at all times... It's just getting in the way nowadays.
Oh wait, yes now I remember some first year courses where they still liked to do things like that. We had to do some assignments every week as well and if you didn't score high enough you were not allowed access to the exam. They were rather easy though and indeed, usually there were some people who had all the answers in a document from someone from former years. Document like that always spread like wildfire.Yeah, this is one of the reasons that forum I was talking about earlier was set up. I would never have passed the maths examns if it wheren't for that forum. ^^
Lol :p
Our teacher caught a few guys with such a document though and she gave out a warning that the next person she catches will not be allowed access to the exam.
I remember this: Right after the redesign the review mod tools where broken, Ultor was spamming reviews like crazy (more like, copy pasting reviews). When the tools where fixed I reported him in Rage's thread. The whistle of one of my alts went up from normal to almost gold. ^^
Now Ultor is unbanned from reviewing and he's spamming reviews again...

I just want to make a move into the top 10 for once, but at the moment I'm getting stuck on several lists where I could potentially hit top 10 someday (not too long from now).Well, wasn't it always to goal to get into the top 50? Once you've done that, you naturally look higher. What do you aim for when you reach the top 10?
Top 5 I suppose. And then top 3, and then top 1? :p
Yeah I guess the aim is always to get higher up, no matter how high you've come already. But a 17th spot as a highest on the saviors list still doesn't sound satisfying, regardless of the fact that the BP system started many years ago.
