Thanks to NEVR for the underrated user vote ^^

Probably the last vote I needed to make it to the nominees.

Achievement of the Day:
reverend: Brig General

Congrats! Only three more stars to go :)

Congrats to:

Yeah, Americans are much more religious than most Europeans, aren't they?

And more stupid... yeah. Maybe they're not that much more stupid than the average European, but as opposed to us they always seem to go berserk when people mention their 'stupidity' :p I guess they're simply much more patriotic than we are, thus they can't take criticism that well.

I did suggest for new categories last time but obviously they were ignored. It's probably best if audio, art and writing had their own awards for the respective forums if they're not doing it already.

Yeah I heard some complaints about no innovations this year. It seemed to me like Twilight just stole the opportunity to make the nominations topic when EJR made the discussion topic a few minutes earlier.

I don't know if that was as planned by EJR. I didn't see him complaining about it, but it looked odd to me.

Anyway I agree with a separate election for other forums. Or at least the Best Artist election should be held in the audio, art and writing forums.

10,000 EXP and Level 31. Not so interesting. Bahamut told me I have a single stat for 10k now and if I get another, I'll be on his Pentalist updates but the chances of myself being there is little to none.

I bet he does that to compensate something else.
Well, who can say? I for one won't be popping into the F1 locker room to try and gauge his package ;)

Yeah but to watch the exchanges I'd have to watch the whole race and for that, I'd have to be into the sport, which I'm not. ^^
And yes, the Vettel/Webber was the start of this conversation. ^^
Look at the report and scan read for the words "crash", "carnage", "indecision", "suicidal" and the like. That should be the clues to the crashes. If there are any, then watch the video and laugh.

Well, I'm not THAT much into crashes. I watch the start of a race whenever I zap through the programs and see it by accident. That's enough for me.

Good enough, I suppose. Man, is this the only argument we're having right now?

Sadly, yes. But I bet other users in the LUL are happy about that. :P

By original I meant the copies that where first released. For example like Metallica's "Garage Days Re-Revisited". All the tracks are included on the "Garage Inc." so I'm fine with that. But there may be some people out there who'd like to get a hand on a copy of "Garage Days" even though it's a collectors item and you'd have to pay way over 500$ (at least that's the last price I heard of) to get one.
Oh yes, the original Garage Days. Now I know what you're talking about. After reading this post, I'm actually curious about Metallica's Garage Inc. now. I guess I should get it at some point but I'll leave it for a 2 for £10 deal at HMV.

Garage Inc. is pretty nice. Sure, it's only a cover album but it's really worth it. Especially the Misfits covers. I like Metallicas version of "Die, Die my darling" even better than the original song.

Always good to have a bit of length to the tracks. Particularly if they've got a steady beat. I think Hallowed be thy Name is a pretty good tune for length and consistent beat. I'll try lifting to it in a moment or two.
When talking about Maiden's epics, do not forget The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. I'm sure that song was a huge inspiration on Helloween's epics.

Yeah I heard some complaints about no innovations this year. It seemed to me like Twilight just stole the opportunity to make the nominations topic when EJR made the discussion topic a few minutes earlier.

This is why I was thinking of running the Midyear awards myself but on the other hand, I was wanting to see if we were able to wait until the end of the year to have the awards rather than having an additional one half-way through. I guess one of us could try and run the awards at the end of the year and do some changes on our own behalf.

Anyway I agree with a separate election for other forums. Or at least the Best Artist election should be held in the audio, art and writing forums.

Indeed, they'll have a better idea on who's really good at those departments. My nominations for Best Artist are really only for those I know which can be biased.

I'm well aware it's a cover-only album but getting it for £5 is a fair deal. I suppose I could get another Tool album to complete the deal. Ænima is an interesting album despite the fillers. I don't see the point in having a track which is nothing but electricity noises.

Yeah I did some counting and with Sir-Nuts' nomination I have the second most nominations for that category at the moment. So I got a good shot indeed, although I don't expect to win to be honest.

It looks like you're getting nominated as well. It would be nice if you could get your voters to vote for me, but if they really feel like you are still the most underrated they should vote for you obviously. We gotta keep things fair of course :)

Thanks. Yeah I was thumbing through my favorites and he was one that stood out.

Yes, we need more dragons with swords for dicks. Why can't the General forum have more of that? It's not actually yiffing or anything. I'd sit out of the Wi/Ht? revolution completely if they had more stories about dragons with swords for dicks. I should have mentioned it to FBIpolux when I had the chance.

Because the General Forum is uncreative like that. They rather shoveled the same old meme over and over. Speaking of the revolution, where is General gfox? Is he still on his honeymoon after all this time?

At this point I'm exactly Rank #500 for B/P. I'm not sure whether I should be more happy about being #500 or for breaking into the top 500 but either way it's a nice achievement.

Achievement of the Day:
reverend: 14,000 Saves

I'm more in favor of round numbers than streaks of the same numbers, so hence why I picked yours over Fro's.

Congrats! :)

Congrats to:

Awesome track. I've got to listen to more Maiden, though it comes on in my car quite frequnetly
I'm guessing you have some Maiden albums missing out. Can't remember which ones you have and which ones you haven't besides knowing you have the obvious ones like The Number of the Beast and Powerslave.

As for Studio albums, I've got them all until The X Factor. Then I haven't got copies of Brave new World and Dance of Death, but they are on my iPod (Thanks Dave). That's 5 albums missing. On top of that, I have no live albums (9 available), no compilations, but a copy of Edward the Great, which I bought for my brother, then copied before handing it over as a present.

Oh, and somewhat ironically, Rime of the Ancient Mariner came on while I was driving home yesterday. One of the only local drives that can accommodate a 13 1/2 minute track.

That reminds me, I could do with swiping a copy of Best of the B-Sides from eBay, even if the album will cost quite a bit.

Don't look here
then :P

In that case, Coop for Worst Mod and Poster. :P
w00?
No no, you know UltraBear is almost certain to win Worst Mod. As for Worst Poster, we'll wait and see but my bet is Ultor.

I think you're pretty on the money there. I'm just happy that I might have enough nominations to cause a stir in the voting :P

Those people that win Underrated get modded. Timmy, myself and Bahamut are all prime examples.
Good to know I'm being treated with respect for being an official mod despite normal aura.

Of course.

Close, but no cigar. I'll be trying to pull some numbers out in time for Bahamut's list. I want to pass bila soon, even though I'm going to be about 2 weeks quick on the Experience front.

Didn't Coop and gfoxcook win best poster once?

I won most underrated in a tie with Timmy at the end of 2008. Bahamut won them in mid-09 and end-09. I've never won best poster.

It's funny how the wiki mods get no respect whatsoever. Perhaps because it's not an official mod yet and the wiki isn't even close to being complete. Seems we have found a newgrounds mod that is considered lower than an icon mod now. :P

We have Wiki mods now? I never even heard about them.

We'll know more after Sunday night :P That's when he makes start #2. Granted, he's not going to go for 14ks every night, but it was a good start and he's not pushing Ubaldo yet :P

Yeah, I had some problems myself. It seems fine now, although the servers are rather slow.

Luckily I was able to log my stats later that day.

Sadly, yes. But I bet other users in the LUL are happy about that. :P
Nah, RohantheBarbarian is amused at our Manowar and shitblade arguments so surely he loves our arguments in general.

Yeah, but if we try to force it it wouldn't be half as funny. At least not for me.

I'm well aware it's a cover-only album but getting it for £5 is a fair deal. I suppose I could get another Tool album to complete the deal. Ænima is an interesting album despite the fillers. I don't see the point in having a track which is nothing but electricity noises.

It's called "artistic freedom". :P
I don't like Type O's fillers too much as well (like "Fay Wray come out and play" and such), but it's not as if they where taking up too much space.
Also, maybe they where just trying to get into the noise genre. ^^

Pretty sweet to be here twice in 24 hours. I just got promoted to Praporshchik which I believe is also 11,000 B/P. This was the first rank that I had to gain 1500B/P for and damn it felt like it took a long time. Look out for me, I'll be back at least twice over the next 10 days or so.

Hey, guys!

Following a long period of not being on Newgrounds, I decided to pop round here again, just to see how everyone was doing. Nice to see some familiar faces - I don't think I could imagine Wi/Ht? without Coop, Haggard and Corey/Corky/Fro/Whatever he calls himself these days.

I haven't got any achievements, unless first time on NG for ages counts.

This isn't an "I'm back!" post, I'm afraid, but I just felt like catching up anyway...
