Well what about having one election where we use an instant run off system? A person makes three picks where the top pick is their main choice, next is their second choice, etc. If there is no unanimous winner, we drop the lowest vote getter and use the voter's next choice until we get a winner.

No, it isn't. Single posts should never be counted as an achievement.

Usually the listmakers consider the following things as an achievement (or at least they did when I was still an active listmaker):

Posts: In incement of 1,000 or special numbers like 1,337 or 12345 or 11,111 and so on.
B/P: Increments of 1,000 or special numbers. Also when you gain a new rank (higher than Police Officer)
Reviews: Increments of 100 or special numbers
Level: Anything higher than level 9 (so that means, level 10 and up get congratulated)
Experience: Increments of 1,000 or special numbers

Those are just guidelines and some listmakers may go by other standards. But "First post of the year/decade" or "I could have been level so-and-so" or "I just made 5 decent posts in a row" are certainly not congratsworthy and you should stop posting things like that in this topic.
If you continue to do so don't be surprised if your posts get deleted by a mod. It happened in the past, so you wouldn't be the first one...

But I still have to buy some albums from those artists I downloaded music from to support them. Even though some of those bands don't even exist anymore... having the original album in the shelf is still much more satisfying. ^^

Well, Grius wants to become a fire fighter, so I guess he wants to help people out. But maybe he becomes bored if there isn't enough to do, so he could start the fires himself.

He just wants to become a firefighter... but sometimes he accidentally torches random things (well, he's a dragon after all, and he can't control his fire too well because he's still so young).
Being a firefighter would certainly help keeping his fire breath under control. ;)

Also, it's an animated series for kids and it's quite funny. That's all there is about it. ;)

I had the right amount of booze. Alcohol and New Year's Eve are a bad combination if you want to operate some fireworks (I'm lucky I still have both my hands...).
So New Year's Eve is more about "fireworks" for me.
But that one stupid fountain fell over and shot flares all over the street... and worst of all, they also exploded.
But it was also quite funny to try to avoid those nasty things. XD
