For me, I should be getting my nice silver gauntlet sometime around mid-december. Then about a third of a year until level 19. Its times like these I wish I had deposited when I signed up.

Don't worry, man. In all likelihood, your points will credit themselves days (or even weeks) later. Sometimes the crediting mechanism fails during the protection or blam vote (or maybe it's during the movie's passage into protection or the graveyard... either way).

liljim's talked about it before. A few months ago, but at least a month or so after Drimarki left NG, he suddenly got a few points. It was due to this problem.

So don't freak out when you don't get the blams. It happens to me at least once or twice a day. But I'll refresh my profile later on after not having voted in awhile and suddenly have 5 blams I didn't have before, but should have (because the backlog cleared).

Which just goes to show, the difficulty increase from level to level is just the daily addition to the goal, not the initial goal itself.

There's a reason your level 9 alt account and his level 10 account, both freshly leveled up, have the same amount of exp till the next level, you know. You take HT's exp, you subtract out the 400 exp that lies before level 9, as that's where level scaling begins...

and then you divide by 21 (the number of levels between 9 and 30)... so for today, with HT at 13,846 exp... - 400 = 13,446... / 21 = 640.286 exp between each level.

So of course, anyone who hits level 10 today, or level 15, or level 20, or level 25... they all have around 640 to the next level.

Difference is... that level 10 guy's exp to the next level only increases by around 1 every day, whereas the level 20 guy's increases by 5 or so every day. THERE lies the pain of higher levels, and the reason for slow slow slow leveling past 10-11-12-13. And you could probably include 14 in the relatively fast area, but 15 is where it really starts to slow down.

Yeah, I like level 18 more than 17, and it looks better against a dark aura than 17 does. I'll probably move up a few places from #131 in experience, because theres only about 120 exp difference between me and #123 and at least ONE of the 7 people between us probably isn't depositing or not depositing daily. I've been at 131 for about 1-2 weeks now.

very very odd. I guess it doesn't help that level 17 looks really weird with the neutral aura. You may think 18 looks a lot better than 17 with your dark aura, but neutral's even worse with 17. I think 17 might be in the running for "worst icon to have a neutral aura while possessing."

I hear ya. While I can't QUITE relate to 1-2 weeks, I was at #342 for 4 straight days, and I don't expect to move up from #340 tonight, though I may be pleasantly surprised.

In a way, though... I'm kinda baffled. There's only a BIT of exp between me and Recon, but he's #220, and I'm #340... how can there possibly be 120 people between us? Are they ALL depositing or something? Eh.

Well, chaotic is coming close, yeah... you gotta remember, chaotic and alexsmolik are the only two people to ever have passed me once I was on the top 50, for ANY amount of time. They're a bit spread apart compared to how they were back then (they were a 1-2 punch combo!), but they're both moving up steadily, and anyone who falls to alex is in danger of falling later to chaotic... and you're right between 'em now.

BUT... Dogma's not moving fast, so if you have the desire, you can blow through there, and try to challenge alex for the next rank. He's probably got you beat, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't still try to pass him once you're both Captains anyway. Cause you gotta look upwards. Poxpower's not very far away, about 1000 above you now, but only about 600 up from the rankup you're gonna hit.

And he's not moving at all. And after him is GridLock, who's not moving very much, if at all. That's TWO free spots, basically. And even if alex beats you to them, and knocks them down from 13 & 14 to 14 & 15.... that 14 spot can be yours if you get by them both and keep on chasin' alex. Well, to be exact... from 2634, he needs 366 points to hit 3000 and become a Sergeant. Good luck there, demon. Sergeant's the first really cool rank, IMO (especially love the triple-chevron badge pic, personally), and it features the 3600 point mark (36's my lucky/fave numter), so it's extra nifty.

Just cause it'll take 1000 to get through doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. And think of it this way: back in March, the high end of the Sergeant rank was enough to get you onto the top 50. No longer, I know, but you'll be within reach. #;-}>

Okay, what am I saying. Even if you're 1 exp away from level 18, and he just HIT level 17 (thus making you 640 exp apart, more or less), it would still be worth it to get that deity whistle, the top blamcount, and the #3 b/p amount.

They are both formable opponents and they are always on the prowl, I want to try to keep in front of chaotic as best as possible......
