yeah, a good rule of thumb is if you find yourself telling somebody else how to post or where to post, that's about where backseat moderating starts. For the most part, if you are being helpful and linking to an appropriate thread and offer some other information beyond just a link, you're safe.

It's also totally unhelpful to ignore the first post of a thread and not address it in your own reply. And, to be honest, a lot of the times people are wrong, which only confuses n00bs more.

I think a lot of Nintendo fans are losing faith in Nintendo. The Wii has only had a few highlights and the rest is either crap or you can get it on another console. Despite that, their console is still selling well.

Maybe it has to do with the order of the modding. If you get a review mod and then a bbs mod after that, you won't look down on review mods.
But if you got your BBS Modship first...

Yeah, it's quite ironic. I own a Nintendo Wii and I have to say it's pretty damn entertaining. Games like wario ware smooth moves and wii sports are epic win, in my opinion because of the gameplay, and not to mention SSBB which is also an epic win. But most of the game selection that has the Wii are boring or/and uninteresting.

I really like the DS, the games are great. Well most of them, I really like Professor Layton and the New Super Mario Bros is awesome. Also, because there isn't a GBA port on the DSi, how do you play games like Guitar Hero?

The Nintendo DS is an instant win, when I knew it was going to have a touchscreen I knew it was going to be epic. The DS lite just made things even better but I'm not sure about the DSi without a GBA port. Will the DSi triumph or lose? I don't know.

But oh well, I still have my old DS (I have the 1st DS, by the way) and it still works great and not to mention the games, most of them are amazing stuff. Also, games like Brain Age, Big Brain academy, word coach, languages coach just proved you can even learn while playing videogames. Thumbs up ^_^

Today is my Newgrounds birthday, I have been on here for exactly two years. Though I started posting on the BBS one year after I signed up, my early days on NG were exclusively made of audio submitting and audio reviewing. It's strange to see how I improved on here. In the beginning, I didn't even know the BBS, I used to write abusive reviews and awful posts, my English was crappy... And now, I'm a Wi/Ht Member, that's great :).

Aslo I got a weird message when I logged my stats on NG Log, there was something like: "You entered the top 0 in experience. Outstanding!". I think I have seen this error reported in the NG Log thread but I'm too lazy to go through all the pages, so does anyone have an explanation? x)

I'm not of that opinion. If you see me make fun of a review mod on the BBS it's all in good humor ;)

I was the only non-BBS mod at mod meet last year. Being a moderator on one part of the site and using another moderated part of the site (like a BBS mod reviewing or a review mod posting on the BBS) you find yourself in a rather weird situation, especially on the BBS. You aren't expected to uphold the rules of that section of the site, but at the same time you have a gold aura and you in a way represent the site, so you can't really go around breaking rules. At the same time, users look up to you whether you want them to or not, if they see you posting poorly or a BBS mod leaving bad reviews, you may get in trouble.

Needless to say, as far as the forums are concerned review/audio/icon mods are regular users. As moderators we expect them to be mature and rule abiding, but that doesn't mean that we can't ban you for acting out. Same thing for other areas, if I upload seether to the audio portal, me being a bbs/review mod doesnt make me immune from an audio ban. If a BBS mod started making abusive reviews, he might get a review ban.
